woj is pushing the anti-heat line hard. that must be generating a lot of traffic

I'm wondering what anyone expects a "lebron suitor" to say other than lebron is looking at options outside of the heat? I hope lebron is getting a cut from all these reporters cause they are making bank spreading random rumors whenever he's a FA.

If Melo meets with us it's a wrap.

Oh noes! Bad things *might* happen. Lebron *seems* like he *might* *explore* the market. But only *if* Riley can't sign anyone!

C'mon.

Lebron might leave. Ok. But this is a bunch of crap being pushed by someone in the Cavs, Mavs, Rockets, or Suns organizations right now. It's all sourced to people courting Lebron and, by extension, trying to screw Miami. Take it all with a heavy heavy grain of salt.

Well, look at Mr. Buzz Killington coming up in here trying to harsh everybody's panic-buzz with your ol' buzzkillin' self.

From a Clevelander I'll say this... Back in 2010 people really close to Lebron were trying to warn us. After the decision they went dark pretty much and not much news out of them since. These are not the well known friends. The last few days they're becoming very active and I'd say it seems as if they're quite ecstatic about something.

Lebron never recruited people since 2005 to Cleveland. When he got to Miami he started recruiting immediately. He knows the importance of it now. The fact he is not speaking or signing is not a good thing for Miami. It's making Riley's job impossible and he has to be aware of this.

I can assure you as well he would not have responded well to Riley's guts press conference. I think what he's doing is to put the pressure back on Riley. No one is looking at him now. Riley can't work without assurances and if he doesn't get anything done everyone will remember that Riley failed. Just like they remember the Cava failed to put anyone around him. Rest assured he's got to realize how damaging this is to the Heats off season. That should be worrisome.

Then you've got the fact it wasn't so easy to win as they thought. The amnesty and trade for cap space while he took a pay cut. Miller and Joel expirings at the least could have been flipped to another team for high paid salary players on long deals.

I'd be extremely worried at the moment and there is much inside info around these parts that makes me have it at 99% he's done in Miami.

Cavs have the cap space to sign him outright. They don't need to trade Wiggins.

Right, because one front office guy decided to push the same line to multiple reporters. These guys all know how to work the media, and sports journalists are pretty terrible at recognizing when they're being used as propaganda arms for the franchises/players they cover (or just have no shame).

Morey is the worst about this crap in general, so I wouldn't be surprised if its him

Upshot of LeBron latest: Pat Riley is on the clock like never before, and LeBron's faith in Wade's future is not exactly steadfast.

Ariza Melo Paul. Those are the guys left that make a major difference. Maybe I'm forgetting some, but any one of those and I'm good.

And I have a strange feeling somehow we end up with Melo and have the world hate us again for a few more years lol.

Everyone is overreacting the reason why Rich Paul has been setting up meetings and talking about Wade and bosh not on the same page because he is trying to gain leverage for LeBron vs the Heat making them feared of him leaving so they have to go out their and sign guys to help him out... It's basically like a game of chess... You move your pawns and you let your oppent move his Bishop... It's all a tactic... Think of LeBron as a kid and he wants some new toys to play with but his parents say no but his favorite uncle is looking to help him get his new toys, the parents don't want his uncle to get the new toys for him they want to get it themselves so he can stop whining and crying and make him happy

I don't think everyone should panic. If LeBron leaves that's his right. We would just then start the S&T talks and bring back some young talent. Either way, Miami is in a win-win situation if we play our cards right. No worries fellas, everything WILL work itself out. I'm confident.

Good news!!!!!

Woj-@WojYahooNBA: Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra are in L.A. meeting with free agents today. They've made inroads in talks, sources tell Yahoo. Still confident.
