Relax.

Quit trying to interpret every little bs tweet and comment. Wait for confirmed reports of people signing.

And you might have to wait at least a day given the US holiday.

But please relax. It's like 25+ pages an hour right now. And all based on nothing.

Come on folks.

Also, I 2nd the request for a new thread with only substantiated and confirmed reports of players meeting and/or signing (verbal commitments obviously) with teams, with no extra discussion. It is absolutely impossible to find any real info in any of these threads.

Like, thanks for contributing to the clutter!

Perhaps. But if that were the plan then Melo should've just opted in for one more year, seen if New York could get something done in 2015 free agency, and if not just bolted then. Phil will have no obligation to move him next season after giving him $130 million. And if he does trade Melo, it could be to someplace he doesn't wanna go. Melo has his freedom and his chance now.

He still gets the most by getting the supermax. If he opted in and then bolted, he would get smaller raises. And I think he really does like NY. I think the trade demand is if Phil doesn't make anything happen.

And Phil wouldn't certainly trade him. Is he just going to have Melo pout, bad mouth the knicks and half ass it for 4 more years?

Point is Melo no longer controls his own destiny the minute he signs that super max. Phil put up with Kobe, he's not gonna let Melo pout his way out of town if things go sour. And if Melo's skills begin to decline in a couple years then who's gonna trade for him with that huge contract? Melo could've gotten the same super max next summer after seeing definitively if the Knicks were bringing in top free agents or not.

I can't believe he chose Fisher over Thibs. I mean how silly is that. Dude won't ever win a thing if he goes back to NY.

Glorified Dominique/Gervin.

Well we should find out more tomorrow. People shouldn't just start attacking people just because they hate what was posted. People read one thing and go crazy. Nothing is official and things can change instantly.

I'm not pissed because I dont like the message. I am pissed because the write up was garbage. "Several people" is not sufficient to explain the credibility of this. For all we know he was reading this thread and found out what we did about what Noah said via some random dude on the internet.

As I said tell us if its confirmed or unconfirmed so we can decide for ourselves the value of this info. If the info is legit typically the writer tells you "front office personnel say..." or "Someone close to player X told us..."

"Several people" ...yeah thats not professional dude. Sorry, but you have to give some indication of the validity of your info.

Sorry wasn't referencing you as pissed off. This Red guy starts ripping into people. Attacks K.C. who is one of the best Bulls beatwriters.

As for the sources thing, that's pretty much how all media writes though top to bottom. Nothing we can do about it. Just a quick way to write an article. Tomorrow we will get more clarification and it sounds like it's not going to be good news moving forward.

SO IF Noah knows all that time effort and energy was ultimately for not, and Melo is doing this for ulterior motives than " Actually winning at all cost and being willing to leave NYK" Then some one explain to me why he would give a damn about spilling the beans about Melo going back to NYK? To me Noah wouldn't care because he would see this ASA farce and just want the speculation to die since it isn't possible for him to leave. Melo could have told him outright " Nah bro, word up,I doubt I'm leaving at all, just out of respect."

Because Melo wasted 9 hours of prime smoking time in the off season, so he is taking the wind out of Melo's decision day.

You know it, that's like finding out you were interviewed for a job just because the had to interview at least 3 folks, but knowing instantly their guy is already selected, but friends and family are constantly askdig you how it went.... At some point its best to say " That job a wrap, they had the guy selected before I even submitted my resume."

Can't speak to family factor, enjoyment of living in NY. But w/ Lakers, Knicks offering Melo max, the $ vs winning angle of decision in play

So what did I miss that has everyone so pessimistic right now? I haven't been able to follow the thread. I shouldn't even be on here at the moment haha.

K.C. taking a Twitter rumor about Joakim telling someone at LAX that Melo was staying in New York and including it in an article as "sources say Noah is telling people Melo stays in NY". Yeah, it's that crazy right about now. Most definitive story of the past hour is the report that Melo is choosing between Knicks, Bulls, Rockets over the weekend.

If Melo was using us he'd have signed with the Knicks tonight rather than drag this on. We're still in this IMO.

I agree. Opting out to go back was dumb from a competitive standpoint. From a money standpoint probably smart as it assures he gets his money even if he gets hurt this season. So yeah...now you know what Melo's priority was here. I hope we can make NY choke on that contract. Get Love, or Dragic and Mirotic and beat their asses every season and hope we draw them in the playoffs.

I am telling you the way this went down is not going to sit well with Noah and Thibs. Revenge mode activate!

Meh, losing out on Melo won't really ruin my faith in the Bulls.

If it takes giving Melo the max contract to keep him in NY then I'm okay.

I can see some Knicks fans turning on Melo and blaming him taking on the max when it hampers their ability to improve every off season just like some Lakers fans are blaming Kobe's contract keeping them from landing Lebron + Melo.

Bulls will still compete. Other opportunities can be explored in the mean time.

This era of the league and new CBA is starting to look troubling.

Are old teams full of stars who made 100s of millions already in their youth the only teams that are really going to have a chance now?

It's almost like stars taking less will lead to no max contracts which will make stars tens of million later.
