Honestly, Melo had a chance to write his name in the records book with a championship. Take 15 mil. The kids graduating from prestigious universities like Harvard, Penn, and Stanford can't even fathom making 15 mil in a year. It's crazy how much money these guys need to feel secure.

Tell them to learn how to shoot a basketball.Until everyday joes can fetch 20.00$ 120.00$ a game to watch them work this point is moot. And the owners of those teams are making 10x the players and half of them couldn't wipe their own a&#&@% . Supply and Demand

I'm just saying, they make so much more than the average person. People would kill for 15 mil. Stop being greedy and play for a damn championship.

And owners get way too much money too.

Michael Scott idea: everyone gets paid 100k. All other revenue goes to charity. boom.

Salary is definitely being artificially suppressed for everyday folks compared to company revenue....

this is so sad

G Rose / Augustin? / Hinrich
G Butler / Snell
F Dunleavy / McDermott
F Gibson / Mirotic?
C Noah / Smith

yeah, it's pretty sad LOL but they'll still be a good ball club. Nothing even CLOSE to a 2nd option in sight though.

There would still be cap room to add a wing player.

A lot of drama here, from " Melo is coming, great job FO" to " We are doomed, blow it away".
Like in a PG thread after heavy loss

All of the reports could be smoke screen, let's wait for official Melo's decission.

I'd rather trade Snell and MDJ, give 10-11 mil for Lance and 4-5 mil for Mirotic.

Melo still thinking about NY scenarios is concerning but don't forget in 2010, LeBron wanted guys to come to Cleveland to play with him first too. When it didn't materialize and he saw the writing on the wall, he bolted.

We need to make a push for Love dude.

I would assume wolves will start engaging teams once the Melo and Lebron dust settles.

Yeah this may be true. The price for Love might have gone up for teams who struck out in free agency is looking to make a splash. I hope the Bulls don't overpay too much, but it will take a quality offer make it a done deal (2 Bulls first, Sac Pick, Mirotic, Gibson)

So If I'm Melo, I'd be looking at things from that very perspective. Like, what if I would have taken less money to go to a winner. Either I'm going to be less rich and fall short, or be less rich and have a legacy as a champion. If he stays in NY, sure, he knows he'll be richer than he is now. But if he doesn't win there (and all indications is that he probably wont), then he will have to sit back and wonder what his legacy would be had he just taken less.

So then, what happens if he takes a chance with Chicago and still NEVER wins?

I'm not sure why Chicago fans feel like there is some sort of guarantee that we'll win a title with Carmelo Anthony.

Notice, I never said that he had to come Chicago specifically. My line of thinking applies whether it's Chicago, Houston or Dallas. But to answer your question, at least he wouldn't have to look back on his career and ask himself "what if I would have taken less money and pursued that opportunity to be part of a winner instead of taking more money and remaining in a situation that I knew I wasn't going to stand much of a chance".

The numbers shouldnt have even needed to been discussed all that much.....Melo and Thibs have the same F***ing agent and months in advance to scout out those Melo to the Bulls scenarios.

So why freaking waste our time???

Thats the crux of it for me......You want your F***ing money then fine.....take it and enjoy yourself in NY.....But dont go dragging us into any of your stupid games ,that you learned from Ledouche, that will cost us valuable time in FA

I still believe he is coming to Chicago. Not really going to get into the details as to why I believe that, though, but there is a reason behind it

Roll with what you got..

Be proud of your team Bulls fans...

Thibs, "We have enough"

Rose, DJ, Kirk
Butler, Snell
McD, MDJ
Gibson, Nikola, Bairstow
Noah, Vet Min, Smith

This team has so many question marks. In reality, Thibs will probably start MDJ and play him a ton. The strike out team will depend heavily on two rookies, and Snell and Bairstow need to contribute.

I made this point in earlier pages. Remember, his initial attempt was to get Bosh to Cleveland. When that was a pipe dream, then the rest was history.

Though I feel the worst I have all week about our chances, there's still that glimmer of hope that he'll come to his senses.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

This is depressing.

That's a nice squad. That team have youth and good 3pt shooting.

Yup, wrote the same thing a few pages back:
