Meh. All these entertainers (athletes, singers, actors etc.) need to take a step back and realize that they're lucky as hell to be making this kind of money, and that 99% of the world don't have 1/20th of what they have.

Honestly, Melo had a chance to write his name in the records book with a championship. Take 15 mil. The kids graduating from prestigious universities like Harvard, Penn, and Stanford can't even fathom making 15 mil in a year. It's crazy how much money these guys need to feel secure.

Tell them to learn how to shoot a basketball.Until everyday joes can fetch 20.00$ 120.00$ a game to watch them work this point is moot. And the owners of those teams are making 10x the players and half of them couldn't wipe their own a&#&@% . Supply and Demand

Yeah this may be true. The price for Love might have gone up for teams who struck out in free agency is looking to make a splash. I hope the Bulls don't overpay too much, but it will take a quality offer make it a done deal (2 Bulls first, Sac Pick, Mirotic, Gibson)

I have always been the type of person that would rather not have to get to a certain point in my life or career and have to always wonder "what if". So If I'm Melo, I'd be looking at things from that very perspective. Like, what if I would have taken less money to go to a winner. Either I'm going to be less rich and fall short, or be less rich and have a legacy as a champion. If he stays in NY, sure, he knows he'll be richer than he is now. But if he doesn't win there (and all indications is that he probably wont), then he will have to sit back and wonder what his legacy would be had he just taken less.

So then, what happens if he takes a chance with Chicago and still NEVER wins?

I'm not sure why Chicago fans feel like there is some sort of guarantee that we'll win a title with Carmelo Anthony.

Notice, I never said that he had to come Chicago specifically. My line of thinking applies whether it's Chicago, Houston or Dallas. But to answer your question, at least he wouldn't have to look back on his career and ask himself "what if I would have taken less money and pursued that opportunity to be part of a winner instead of taking more money and remaining in a situation that I knew I wasn't going to stand much of a chance".

This team has so many question marks. In reality, Thibs will probably start MDJ and play him a ton. The strike out team will depend heavily on two rookies, and Snell and Bairstow need to contribute.
