Cavs, Others, Meet With LeBron's Agent.

Post#1 » by King Stannis » Fri Jul 4, 2014 1:54 am

1. LeBron has begun entertaining offers from other teams according to Stein. This could be an indication that James is displeased with Miami's attempts at bringing in difference makers:

2. Finalists to meet with LeBron next week with presentations on why he should grace their cities with his august presence:

3. Others believe this is little more than a smokescreen (to hide Miami's blatant collusion) or put more pressure on Riley to produce results:

There's two teams in the mix, IMO. I think he was legitimately interested in playing for the Clippers, but the Sterling thing ruined that. It's either us or the Heat, and with the way Riley is struggling to get free agents to go there, Im liking the Cavs chances more and more and more and more.

Wolves won't get Wiggins in a deal for Love. Your bargaining position is highly dubious. However, I think any proposal will be quite fair.

I am inclined to agree. However, I feel Phoenix is the real wildcard here.

It appears the Cavs may have already made it to the final cut to meet with James next week.

Houston was denied the chance to meet with James' agent.

This is all a ruse to appease the NBA.

Surely not! I can't believe LeBron James could ever be so duplicitous.

If LBJ signs here and we can trade Wiggins and Jack for Love (who will extend with LBJ on the roster), I'll pack Wiggins bags myself. I'll buy the HOF induction tickets for Wiggins if you agree to buy the HOF induction tickets for LBJ and Love.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

Never said I wouldn't make that deal if we absolutely had to. I just think we can get Love without Wiggins. MN will not get any better offer than that which they have already received.

LA just offered 'Melo a big contract. LA FO types are in Cleveland talking to James' agent.

James to the Lakers? Not. Bloody. Likely.

James wants max, they can't offer 2 maxes, LeBron isn't going there without Melo, they offered a max to Melo.

I'll just go ahead and dq LA as a possibility now.

Mavs out the picture, rockets out the picture.

down to phx/cle/miami i guess.

must stay away.

Agreed. Phoenix is a wild-card. I could see him going there.

The fact that he hasn't met with anyone besides Riley and is fishing instead of meeting with other teams leads me to believe he already knows he is staying in Miami. Kind of pathetic he is putting on another charade and pretending he doesn't know what he wants to do.

And I don't see how Phoenix is in this at all. What do they have on their roster besides two solid point guards? Cap space?

yes those, also Miles Plumlee who's merely a 8/8 center but pretty good athletic & only 25, something Heat was never able to give LeBron.

they can also give a max to both Melo & LeBron.

Until I hear that he has met with Gilbert face to face, I'm assuming he is staying with Miami 100%
