I hope none of you drama queens goes off on a "this FO sucks" rant if/when melo signs in ny. The Bulls did an excellent job this summer.

edit: in regards to melo that is, now if we sign nick young to the max i will be right there with you

'some guy at the airport' probably not worth investing in fully emotionally....

Well that was before KC threw it into his article. Who knows now if that was legit or not?

The guy who "bumped into him at the airport?" Lol I don't believe that for a second. Joakim is not just walking around blabbing that we're not going to get him. Even if he really thought it, it hasn't happened yet, so would the Joakim we know really say that? No.

KC: Bulls are not interested in Bynum. Not dumping Deng for cap space.

The Front Office did well on Melo. The Derrick Rose Rule is our biggest hurdle imo.

fleet is my inspiration. We were never interested in Melo. We only wanted to create a fascade to fool fans whilst instead pocketing money.

Yes, i am aware that gaining Anthony would mean we'd be a title contender, meaning more playoff revenue, more merchanisde sales, price increases at the venue instead of the alternative run of the mill finances we'd be running into, but alas, we only did this all for show.

Don't worry. We'll still make the playoffs.

Maybe Joakim gave him a sarcastic response and the guy took it seriously? He does like to joke around a lot.

that effing lockout f'ed us up royally. First we get his with the Rose Rule, thanks, then Rose gets hurt due to the condensed season.

best thing for the bulls that year would have been for no basketball to have been played. I think we have gotten screwed every new cba.

Does it matter? We'll still draft Douglas McDermott.

Also had the Deng and Booz deals which became bad with the new cba (weren't great before).

I've mentioned it a few times but you can't blame the FO if we don't get Melo.

What our FO can do - make a great presentation, have our best players show up to recruit, and make a desirable destination. What they can't do - offer him the same max NY can, magically make Chicago the town he grew up in/near, and guarantee his family will be happy about a move.

They did what they could. It's winning vs money/hometown/family's happiness for Melo. Would be a tough decision for any of us.

If Melo wants to win he comes here. If he doesnt come here his loss not ours. We will still be fine.

Im with Derrick, not begging anyone to come here. Love our draft picks and Rose is coming back. Plus we still have a move to make. Im ready to go to war with that next year no problem and very excited.

Oh, great job by the front office on the presentation it was very professional and well done.

Chicago strong.
