BKN improves immediately (every move they've made since Prokhorov bought the team has been in the win-now mindset)

DET gets out of the J-Smoove contract

KG agrees to waive his no-trade clause only under the condition that SVG promises to release him immediately, allowing Garnett to choose where he wants to play, sign for the minimum, and still make $12M next year(the rest of the money coming from the Pistons)

Okay, when you say "release" Garnett what method are you referring to you? Because I fail to see how he would get released in your scenario and still get paid $12 million. Quite frankly it's impossible but I'd love to hear your explanation.

If he's waived and picked up by another team, the team that waived him pays the difference in salary.

TOR
Novak, Daniels for
Tay
Cap Space 2015

BOS
Green, Bass for
Smith
Rondo's BFF

MEM
Tay for
Henderson
Vet depth at the two

CHA
Henderson, Neal, Hairston for
Green
Dump contracts, upgrade three

DET
Smith for
Novak, Bass, Neal, Hairston, Daniels
Spacing, prospects
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

It appears you took a while to come up with that but it appears there are 2 small problems.

1. When was the last time you save a 5 team trade?

2. So the Pistons are going to take back 5 contracts for 1? Looks like they're going to have a hell of a D-League team.

Just curious, is his contract unguaranteed?

LA is getting desperate to field a team around Kobe

I can definitely see them making a trade of Nash for Jennings

We can then buy Nash out

We should work out a S&T deal with the Lakers:

Jennings and JSmoove for Wesley Johnson and Meeks

Then JSmoove can help recruit his buddy, MELO, to the Lakers. Who will then recruit Pau back.

Jennings
Kobe
Melo
Smith
Gasol

We become:

??? / Bynum
KCP / Meeks
Johnson / Singler / Martin
Monroe / Jerebko / Mitchell
Drummond / Monroe / Harrellson
(+ probably enough cap space to go after Bledsoe)

I wish... check out the reaction when I suggested Jennings to LA on the Lakers board: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1332386&p=40380263#p40380263

Jennings - $8 mil
Kobe - $25 mil
Melo - $21 mil
Smith - $14 mil
Gasol - we'll be generous and say $6 mil

Plus:
Nash -$10 mil
Randle -$3 mil

You are at about $90 mil in salary including cap holds

I take anything fans say on their team boards with a mound of salt. I'm sure plenty of Blazer fans would laugh at us wanting Batum for Monroe. I'm sure you could find Magic fans who didn't want to give up Afflalo to go from #4 to #1.

Pretty sure the Lakers would pay the tax to field that team on a nightly basis.....and they have payed the tax many times before in the past.

Very true... But I think as a backcourt Kobe might Kill Brandon Jennings before the All-star break. :D

what would it take to get Bynum to the grizz , any interest in a deal for Lee now that you have Meeks ?

Prior to the Meeks deal, a Bynum for Lee trade would certainly have appealed to Detroit, especially as Lee played for Stan his rookie year, the season the Magic made the finals.

But, with the Meeks deal, I can't really see Detroit wanting a third shooting guard.

I don't know if Memphis has the cap space to directly absorb Bynum's contract? But, he could probably be had for a couple of future second round picks.

we can with a TPE also have tor/bos 2nds i think . i know we traded for Stokes and sent utah a 2nd only info i found was that it was our own 2nd . how about Qpon he plays SF but was hurt last year can't have great value at this point ..

snot to sure about sending out picks for bynum without sending a contract out though . sounds like a three team deal would be better for both teams .
