When Melo makes it official and more than likely goes back to NY, I really hope this doesn't lead to FO bashing. Gar/Pax have no control on who comes here. The Bulls made the best pitch they can and that's all you can ask for. I think the FO takes too much blame when it comes to striking out on free agents. I'm critical of them with other stuff but when it comes to free agents, you can't force them to come to your team.

If Derrick doesn't get hurt a second time I think Melo comes here, we just can't guarantee a championship, if we could the money wouldn't be an issue but we can't.

Yeah but even when you have a far higher percentage in your favor, you can still fall flat. For instance, in 2008 non-Bulls teams had a freakin' 98.3% of getting Rose and they still got screwed.

Many of us didn't think he was coming from day one. It's been a pipedream from the start. It's not easy to walk away from that much money. It's not just Melo, winning is secondary or at least the same level as money for most of these guys.

we KNOW Melo hasn't made up his mind. Therefore, he hasn't said NO to the Bulls
we KNOW he's said championship >>> money
we KNOW Lebron is a dillhole...

Seriously if Melo doesn't come screw free agency. I feel confident with the group we have now. Why i feel confident? Cause Boozer's ass is gone along with his swiss cheese defense. Rose is back. MCD coming off the bench. I don't know who else we're going to add, but that alone going into next season makes me happy.

I feel like the Bulls are fighting tooth and nail for Melo. The names we've heard mostly about outside of his were Gasol and Mirotic.

Mirotic was a name mentioned for a week now. Gasol has been linked to Melo. Hmmmmmm.....

Whatever you want to think about "The Decision" by LeBron, at-least he did not involve his wife and kids. This Carmelo thing is not only about basketball but LaLa and his kids feelings etc...

There is a part of me which doubts if that is the reason he has not developed good defense, focus to take his team deep into the playoffs consistently even if he is very, very talented.
