Chestnut only has a TS% of 52.8 on eating dogs this year. He's past prime.

nah its not off topic, they need to focus on getting him instead of melo cuz its a better fit. Bosh is a great fit for them just like Melo is a great fit for us.

If he was playing ball on this, then he would instead be needing to play up interest in LA in the media big time as a bluff. Outwardly, this doesn't look to be going our way.

Is there a report that says he has ruled out LA already? And even if there was, how believable would it be anyways?

Also, can someone please address my question regarding the Joakim story from yesterday? I really don't want to poor through the hundreds of pages to find out the truth. Was there a legit source saying that Joakim told friends that Melo isn't coming to CHI? Sounds tabloid'ish to me. And if so, did KC put it in his article based on the tabloid'ish source or a legit source?

Everything has happened according to what we all thought would happen. Visits, max contracts, Melo picking Bulls at a little less via S&T or super max with Knicks. Seriously guys, get a grip.

One question- was it verified that Phil wanted a verbal commitment at the meeting last night? If so, the lack of one reported bodes well for the non-Knick suitors.

I think all this Mirotic stuff means hes getting traded! To New York!

I always thought that'd be part of the S&T, if it happened. Bulls will have to give up assets to get Melo in a S&T, Mirotic is the top prospect they can offer. But yeah, until an OFFICIAL press release saying where he'll play, I think he's coming to Chicago for near max money via S&T.

No matter what or when it happens, I'll be drunk so its all good anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. Melo is like a duplication of talent on that team. Its like us trying to get Andre Drummond.

Bosh on that team would really be a nice fit.

You guys ever seen Terrence Jones play? No, they don't need Bosh. Especially not at his price tag.

Yea, I saw him get abused in the playoffs against Aldridge.

Right. Cause Bosh is known for his defense.

Imagine if Melo left NY (PJax) for LA (Jeanie). PJax would be pissed off.

Actually hes a very competent defender. Not a bad shot blocker either.

He's actually a very capable defender. Are you serious? Maybe you should watch him play before asking people to watch Jones. Dude is playing center a lot of the time trying to hold his own.

Call me crazy. I thought Melo was thinking about leaving during the end of the season last year. I thought the Bulls would sign him after all the chatter about Noah and Thibs from the All-Star break. And that hasn't changed. I think he's coming. He hated his team last year. He would have no chance of winning this year and the free agents aren't that good for year 2. They would have to get free agents in year two which means they would miss out on the better ones available going into his third year of the new deal. I just think he's coming. He wants to win titles. We felt it all year. He isn't following the super max money and if he were we would already know that. The bulls are landing melo, and it's a 99 percent chance.

You guys have lost a lot of hope since the great melo meetings in chicago? Why? Because he met with other teams? Meh...there hasn't been any legit news regarding the decision and yet a lot of you take made up rumors over the last two days as fact. Have faith! There has been nothing since the bulls meetings of legitimacy that should have changed your feelings! He's coming!!

And if he doesn't, we still have Rose coming back and no Boozer. Great offseason!

The only hitch in the Mirotic saga is that if he gets traded and doesnt want to play, he can sit out the year and then I believe his rights are lost and he is re-entered into the NBA draft that next year. I think thats what someone said.

This is huge to me. This and the Mirotic report from overseas have been things that stick out for me. Something is up.

Gar Forman doesn't show cards much, which is why his draft night confidence that Anthony Randolph's $1.825M salary could be moved stands out
