Can't help but think what the guy could've been without the sudden drop off a couple years ago. These flashes of brilliance make you think there could be something left.

Of course I say this like he's as old as Jaime Moyer. The dude is 30 and still has decent velocity and a curve that makes dudes look foolish. I'd like to see him make a run in the second half of his career and regain some of that excellence.
he's going to be inconsistent for the rest of his career because he was born and raised as a fastball throw it by you kinda guy and he no longer has that ability anymore. But if he gets another no hitter or world series ring, he's gotta be in the hall of fame talk when he retires

I don't think another ring really makes the case better for him. There's plenty of guys with multiple rings who will never see the Hall.

He's seems to be working on some decent breaking pitches. His curve and slider look good.

Guess how many pitchers have 2 no hitters and 2 cy youngs, though?

In fact, Lincecum joined Sandy Koufax, Randy Johnson and Roy Halladay as the only pitchers with two Cy Young awards and two no-hitters.

And that's not even including the two WS rings

Alex Wood looked good with some run support (finally).

3 weeks ago the Dodgers were 9.5 out. MLB Network pundits warning us to get our act together or we'd get left behind. Today we sit alone atop the NL West.

What a great June it has been.

With that said. It's not even the All Star Break yet. I want a September/October streak.

You can never count the Dodgers out with that pitching.

Aww yeah Harpsgod is back. Got the Harps bobblehead last night too. Lineup is so much better with him in it.

Time to go on a hot streak.

Braves next 21 games are against sub .500 teams. I'm feeling a pull away from the Nats in that time.

^^^
not really. The Nats just sorta pulled it together and got healthy now.

Who knows if they'll disappoint or not (like last season)? But if they get on a little roll here, they can mitigate a 15-6 or 16-5 run by the Braves coming up.

I mean...let's be real...that's truly assuming the Braves even make that run.

That run has already started. We are in the middle of a 5 game win streak.

Make that six and (10-3) in our last 13 games.

Both teams have pretty easy schedules the next few weeks. Nats are healthy now though, so no more excuses.

Will be interesting to see how the division race goes. I do think now that we're healthy the Nats have the better team but the Braves have been resilient all year battling through injuries and what not.

I'm saltier about that scrub Carl Crawford hitting 3 HRs. That was almost as twisted as the outfield infield fly. I can't wait to see what diabolical plans the baseball gods have for us this postseason. If we even make it.
