I don't know about today but Bullslas said that Boozer to Utah is a done deal and he also said there will be a trade today but it won't be Taj.
who said there would be a Bulls trade today? Sorry, I'm behind on the board today!

Didn't get your notification but BullsLas said there would be a trade in a previous Melo thread, that it would be today, and taj would not be included in it.

The Bulls can clear more space and give him some more money and they have the team already in place. They just need the commitment.

Granted it's not 5 yrs, $129M but with an opt-out clause, he can get the max with the Bulls.

If I'm Melo. I'm taking that. You get money and a possible championship and you go through a weaker conference. The East would be a cake walk.

Rather than just money in NY or LA.

The report is BS, (which you admitted), no need to dignify with a response. What don't you understand?

You've missed the point. And based on my past dealings with you, I'm just gonna go ahead and disengage.

It's a good idea, because you haven't a leg to stand on.

Come back from Broussardland.

Fun little at home experiment for those dogging Melo for (almost certainly) taking the money vs. coming to the Bulls.

Put yourself in his situation and grab a calculator or load the app up on your phone.

Figure your annual salary and multiply that by .74. Would you uproot your family and lifestyle and move 800 miles away to make that much at a company you HOPE is better than your current employer?

Bonus credit. Figure out what you'll make at your current employer for the next 5 years if you stay there. Memorize it. Now multiply amount by .49. Worth moving and uprooting then? Didn't think so.

Obviously, this is how Chris Broussard gets his info.

I don't think he said it would be today, regardless unlikely it happens. -crosses fingers-

Are you really saying that if Melo comes to Chicago the Bulls MIGHT be better than the Knicks? Really?

did you factor in non-work related income into this little experiment?

I'm pretty sure none of us can relate to signing $100 million shoe deal contracts, or being able to appear in commercials for basically any product, any time we want.

literally all Melo has to do is call up Burger King and go "hey guys, I want to promote your Whopper. When can I be in your next commercial and how much will you pay me?"

Rose and the FO clearly are at odds....That's why Randy Brown (assistant GM) walked out of the UC with Derrick Rose.

A similar argument could have bee made for LeBron staying in Cleveland.

I don't think there's any question that Chicago is better than the NY Raptors with or without Melo. I also don't think trading Chandler away to become the Raptors made you a better team.

Having said that, I'm fairly certain that Melo knows the financial implications. However, it was Melo who decided to explore the possibility of taking that financial hit because he wants to win. And as it stands now, that's not going to happen by turning NY into the aging 2010-2011 Raptors.

We all know the big question marks surrounding the team. We expect injuries to be a thing of the past, but, until it happens, you can't be certain.

That's not much of an issue any more as they're going to come regardless of the location.

His was about $10 million so, if you wanted to run the calculations on his comparison, multiple the salary times .88 for the entire 4 years vs .49 for Melo.

I feel the tension. They hate each other! Write up a story Chris.
