Frye's market should now be closer to $4M/yr if even Hawes only got less than $6M/yr.

So the real teams in Lebron Sweepstakes has to only be Miami, Cleveland, and Suns. The other teams just doesn't make much sense.

I am so happy that Spencer Hawes did not sign with the Suns. He really did not fit on this team. I do think he fits on the Clippers though. Him backing up DeAndre Jordan and being able to spread the floor for Blake Griffin makes a lot of sense. The Suns on the other hand have no inside presence right now like Griffin so they did not need Hawes.

No **** sherlock, but it would assure him the max deal which would be the point...just in case he could not get it outright from us.

Damn, I was just at the gym, and when I was in the locker room getting ready to come home, I see the ticker on the tv on espn say "End of big three era" and then there was a line that read "Melo will sign first" and I was all doom and gloom on the way home thinking "What the hell?" figuring it had to be the Lakers since we hadn't talked to Melo. Thinking back about my early thoughts that this could happen all the way home and thinking how bad this is going to suck...

then I get home, and check everything.....and nothing, so I don't know what exactly they were saying on espn that I saw.

Whew!

If a Bledsoe max gets me Lebron, sign me up. No problem.

I agree, but hopefully we'd still keep Dragic long term. If not, I don't know that LeBron, Bledsoe, Plumlee and crew would be nearly enough to get through the west anyway. Of course maybe if we did lose Dragic it would have been for Love, which would be ok.

Worst case scenario is we promise Bledsoe a max in hopes of getting LeBron, LeBron doesn't come, management doesn't want to spend $30 million on our backcourt and we lose Dragic, and Bledsoe then turns into a Brandon Roy situation.

You must be crazy

Well actually I've been accused of being too much of a Dragic fanboy and to stop it. I definitely don't want to lose him and if it came down to a choice between him and Bledsoe I'd pick him any day and every day. But in the case outlined above (where we gave Bledsoe the max to get LeBron), I'd hate for the front office to hesitate on giving our backcourt $30 million combined, which is why I hope Bledsoe gets around $12 million per year.

In a move to create salary cap space, the Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement to send Steve Novak to the Utah Jazz, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

Along with Novak and the two years and $7.2 million left on his contract, the Raptors will send a future second-round draft pick to Utah, sources said. The deal can't be completed until the league's moratorium ends on Thursday.

The Jazz will send the Raptors guard Diante Garrett, who, with a $915,000 non-guaranteed deal for this season, will be waived, sources said.

Steve Novak replacing Hayward?

Wow they were able to dump Novak's contract for that?

Ujiri seriously is a genius. I don't understand why anyone would want to trade with him.

Him and McD are similar. They rape teams at trades but aren't the best at drafting

Makes sense to me. Novak has two years left on his contract, and the Jazz are two-three years away from making any kind of noise. They need to get decent contracts to fill out their roster to reach the league minimum salary and they get a pick out of it. Win-win for both sides IMO.

Lol @ Marvin Williams getting interest from us. Not happening...

And I don't think a Marvin Williams signing is enough for Miami to convince Lebron James that they improved their roster.

Yeah. Got to have a willing partner. Not happening. No team is going to help the clippers in any shape or form. They are going to have to trade someone "decent" on their roster.

I think the the truth is he didn't feel like a priority with us because we were focusing on James. I guarantee the clippers whined and dinned him more than we did.

Not to be rude but I think that's a fantastic assumption that has zero merit.

It may be hard to sign guys when you tell them "We'd really like to sign you but can you wait a few days for us to commit?" If we still are under the impression we can get LeBron and maybe another big name, then we can't really be signing anyone else yet.

Nope. He also doesn't believe in flying pigs.
