I like Marshall playing because he'll be able to put guys in positions to get easy buckets (and thus increase their confidence). Kelly isn't on the list because he's technically a free agent until he accepts his QO or another offer from another team. Anyway, there's a lot of notable names on this list:
Rodrigue Beaubois-Former first round pick of the Mavericks. He has excellent physical tools at 6'2 with a nearly 6'10 wingspan and a 8'4 standing reach. Those are Rondo like measurements. He also registered a 39.0" max vert at the 2009 Combine. He's had a sizable role for Dallas but seems to be injury prone. I'm intrigued mostly with his defensive potential assuming his health checks out. Offensively he's got the game of a combo guard, kind of like a shorter Stuckey. Keep in mind he's only 26 as well.
DeAndre Kane-Surprised he went undrafted, I guess teams were scared off by his age (25) and his limited ceiling. Also more of a combo guard but he's got a lot of power to his game. A little OJ Mayo with more smarts, less reliance on jumpshots, and more slashing. Actually I think a more interesting projection is an older Marcus Smart with less defense. I'd take a flier on him.
Those are the two I'm primarily interested aside from obviously Randle, Clarkson, Kelly, and Marshall. Jerome Jordan might be an option for us at C as he played for the D-fenders a few years ago. Good size, can swat some, not incompetent in the post, but doesn't rebound that well and is still raw IMO. Kevin Murphy is a scorer and that's pretty much it. He did average over 25 points per game in the D-League last year and put up some monster numbers on a few nights IIRC. Seems to be a consistently high 3 point shooter percentage wise. Wouldn't be bad as a 3rd stringer I suppose but he's lower on the priority list. Mbakwe wouldn't be bad as a third string, energy big. Ross is sort of a tweener in the worst way, not that high on him.
