Tucker's cap-hold is less than Warren's and Frye won't get much more than Len is making right now. You said "productive"...

One of those people, an executive with a rival team, said the growing belief around the league is that Bosh would prefer a four-year max deal with another team to a discounted longer deal with Miami. CBSSports.com

Damn if both guys want max Miami is done for.

Bledsoe/Ennis/FA
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
James/Tucker/Warren
Bosh/Kieff/Marcus
Plumlee/Frye/Len

Technically possible.

No that's impossible. There's no way we have enough money for Bosh and LeBron unless we get rid of Frye, Green and Len at least. Maybe Marcus too.

If bosh signs for slightly less than max and frye and tucker split the MLE, we dont have to drop any assets. I said technically ;)

And McD read my post?? Lol

Because I said back then that suns need to go for two Star FAs and it's what we have potentially today

on the tanking threads... Back in 2013..

I also mentioned Suns giving up 2013-2014 and going for a stud rookie and going for Lebron in 2014...

Ironically it happened.. But For Cleveland.... Getting Wiggins and currently also going for Lebron.

1. Lebron 22 million... 4 year/94 million, with player option after 2nd year.

2. Bosh 15 million... 4 year/63 million, with player option after 2nd year.

3. Bledsoe 13 million.... 4 year/56 million, with player option after 2nd year.

For Dragic's next contract...
4. Dragic 12 million... 5 year/ 63 million, with team option after 3.

Then in 2016, if Lebron, Bosh and Bledsoe all opt out...
They can reload... Durant is available then also.

Also suns can resign their own players coming off rookie contracts...

I'd prefer to not have all three come off at the time time and be hamstrung with cap holds and the like, just like the Heat are now. You lock Bledsoe up long term.

Agreed. If we can scatter the expiration date of their deals, we'll hold more power as we'll always have 2 of the 3 stars locked down.

That is awesomely hilarious. Burning Heart backing you up a little bit too. Crazy good call. People even start talking about getting Melo too.

I think just getting LeBron would be good. Screw Bosh.

What will happen to our "double PG pick and roll like hell" system if LeBron joins us? Will he make a P&R play as a point forward?

letsgosuns wrote:I have said this earlier but I will say it again, if the Suns do not get Lebron and/or Bosh, I want no part of any other free agents, and I really do mean any. I think they all suck and I want nothing to do with them. I could care less about Spencer Hawes or any of these other career losers. They are terrible. I would rather the Suns just keep their own free agents (except Channing Frye) and continue to develop the young players. Gordon Hayward? Give me a break. The guy shot 41% fg and 30% 3pts last year and there are rumors he will get a max contract. That is a huge joke if I ever heard one. Who are other guys? Trevor Ariza? No thanks. I would rather see what T.J. Warren can do. The only other player I would consider is Pau Gasol, and that is not because I think he will lead the Suns to a title. I would take him because I think he could help Plumlee and Len tremendously. As for the other free agents, absolutely zero interest, especially Luol Deng. He shot 43% fg and 30% 3pts. P.J. Tucker had better statistics than that with 43% fg and 39% 3pts. Just keep P.J., unless the Suns get Lebron. Then he becomes expendable. Basically it is Lebron and/or Bosh or no one for me. I am way more excited about the Suns young players and internal development than I am of 99% of the available free agents.

AMEN

I am going to also agree but also take it a step further. Meaning

I am willing to sign a free agent - but ONLY on a one year deal. Meaning if a two year deal is say 2 for 10, I would rather Sarver and Ryan McD give that guy, 6, 7m for one year and keep cap space for 2015. A player will eventually take the one year cash grab

Also, Tucker and Frye - if they are pricing themselves too high - I still don't bring them back.

If some team is really giving PJ Tucker 5 years and the full MLE or a deal like Hawes - I say thanks and good luck

@WojYahooNBA: Miami president Pat Riley plans to meet with free agent Luol Deng in Chicago today, league source tells Yahoo.

Hopefully he's unwilling to take a pay cut.

Matt - first off, like BWGOOD - also a fellow Bolts fan - looking forward to the season. But about the Suns

I agree. I hope Deng wants to get paid. And it makes sense. For guys like Lowery, Gortat and Deng - this might be their last chance to make real money. And if they want to sacrifice dollars to go to the Heat - that is their right. But its also their right to want to get paid. And Lowery got 48 from the Raptors - probably the Heat could give him half of that on a yearly basis. Deng - the Hawks have ample space even after signing Thabo - again, he might want 10+m per year as opposed to 5-6m per year

According to Sam Amico talks are advanced with Deng and Atlanta. Hope this gets finalized soon for three reasons.

1. I want no part of Deng

2. He was a guy the Heat courting

3. It strengthens a team in the East

I was actually thinking, if enough FA's go East or stay in the East, it might make LeBron consider coming out West. For example if the Raps and Hawks improve their roster, Melo stays in NY and is joined by Pau, or Melo goes to Chicago, the East might not look like such a cake walk. It stil won't be nearly as competitive as the West for sure, but if LeBron sees that it won't be a cake walk to the finals...
