Udonis Haslem being a guy who got paid more because the big 3 took less, Shane Battier as well. They weren't hurting.

But yes, thanks for pointing out that Haslem isn't part of the big 3.

Haslem got paid more?

Haslem took a biggest pay cut out of anybody on that team what are you talking about?

Bosh owes Miami nothing. He came from a superstar in Toronto to a walking punchline and role player in Miami as he saw Lebron and wade take all the spotlight

How many teams are able to free up 2 max spots? I can see Lebron and Bosh leaving together if the Heat don't catch a huge break in FA soon.

Without the big 3 taking a pay cut, the most haslem was getting was the vet minimum. Since they all took less, Haslem ended up getting 4yr/20mil. I mean, I guess he could have gone to a different team and got more.

I guess my point is the money went somewhere, the heat were capped out, so I don't get how it is hurting the fellow players. The money was all getting spent on the roster, just the distribution was changed.

If Bosh wanted to go get him some money, I wouldn't blame him one bit. He's got 2 rings, it isn't like winning more will boost his legacy or anything. Especially as the 3rd wheel. If he wants to get paid and be an alpha dog again, good for him. On the other hand if he likes Miami and winning enough to take that paycut, then I'd respect that too. He doesn't owe anyone anything, he should make the decision he wants for himself.

I wouldn't blame him for taking more money and leaving Miami. He has two titles and could sign with another contender for the max where he'd probably be better utilized. Houston would be a heck of a fit, as people have said. Got the defensive anchor and great rebounder at center so Bosh's face-up game, floor spacing, and quickness works great at the four alongside him.

You are right, but I am still trying to get get back to the main point. The money went to other players it normally wouldn't have, had the big 3 not taken a pay cut. Because you know, the thread title and on-topicness. Substitute Mike Miller if you have to to get off Udonis Haslem.

Happy to see Bosh leave to be honest, just wish he did it sooner so that we could have approached Melo. Want him to stay now unless sign and trade.

Bosh signs max with houston, leaving Riley cap space to sign melo. Lebron + melo finally get to play together.

Bosh was probably the luckiest player in the league for the last decade. He was drafted by a franchise led by Air Canada and was heading to have channing frye/charlie V type of career. Then Carter was traded and he became the franchise player and was given the freedom to do whatever he wanted on the court. Gotten to the playoffs twice in 7 years in Toronto and never passed the first round. Then became one of the big threes and won 2 rings and now have a chance to chase for more rings/money. How many star players in the last decade were given max money and winning rings at the same time? Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Dirk, Pierce, KG, Duncan and Bosh? He is easily the least talented from the list.

Bosh winning an NBA title without Wade and James would help boost his legacy a bit.

Loyalty to an owner who guts key role players from a title team to avoid the luxury tax?

I'd take money too.
