He couldn't get an open look against Gordon...otherwise I was fine with his game. He's the only scoring threat they have, but isn't going to create for himself.

Really happy with Noel's offensive game and some of the passes he had. Once he gets the timing down, I expect the rebounds and blocks to come. Also happy with Ware shutting Payton down lol

An overall nice game by our guys. Noel although not very effective when putting the ball on the floor, showed some promise as a passer and had a good game from the stripe. He had a few nice blocks and steals but got pushed around a bit in the paint even though that's to be expected given his slight frame.

McDaniels showed promise as a shooter and Roberts seems like quite the athlete as shown by that monster put back. They should be something to watch for the rest of the summer league and possibly the NBA.

How so? Nearly every time he put the ball on the floor and drove the lane, he got to the line. Including a sequence where he had an acrobatic finish for an And1 attempt.

I think its safe to say Noel is 100% healthy and he looks very good

very sad about Pier Jackson, the guy finally gets his break in a team who has a roster spot for him to do his thing and he goes down for the season like that, that must be crashing for him, he has worked for this moment all his life, brutal.

Just some quick thoughts after watching the game:

Noel-loved what I saw. Still raw, needs to do a better job on the boards and shooting, but defensively and even with the ball in the post, impressive. Very good passer.

Roberts Jr-this guy has that Lavoy Allen chance of sticking. Great athleticism, didn't look too lost most of the time. Would rather have this guy sit on the roster than some of the guys we brought in last year. Hinkie contract special.

Craft- really liked Craft's defense. pretty inept offensively, though he didn't have much to work with either.

Thompson- started out rusty, but i still like the guy, needs to tighten up his handle and keep shooting threes :)

Grant- looks super young and raw. Will probably end up with our DLeague team all year. I like him tho

McDaniel- Really liked what i saw. If he can get a corner three, I really like his defense.

Ware-lots of fire, but don't think he's worth a roster spot. I think a lot of our guys struggled because of less than stellar point guard play. He got in Oladipo's head pretty good tho.

Bader- bad game. Doug Collins would probably love his floor spacing
Skyes- ??
Sampson-??
Zanna-?? Nothing of note
Daniel-?? Nothing of note
Hagins-?? Nothing of note
Ejim-?? Nothing of note

From what I saw, he had it stripped a few times when he tried posting up with his back to the basket. I didn't see the whole game though so I probably missed a few of his better plays. Overall, I'm pretty excited about his future.

Really impressed by Noel today. The defense. The active hands. Active is really an understatement. Unreal. Looks like a guard in a 7 footer's body with how he moved and bounced around out there. And he displayed the good vision and passing ability that he showed at Kentucky.

Surprised by the FTs. Very good. Not surprised by the jumpers. His first game with him pulling them off. Not going to go crazy about it, but if he wants to get to the basket easier, he has to start knocking them down some.

Noel was 0-2 on jumpers and both misses hit back iron. I'm not concerned. His shot seems to be working for him.

Just making sure. With the way you acted the week after the draft, I wanted to go the extra mile to reassure you that everything was okay.

Still catching up on the game, but from what I am seeing so far Grant's offense game was looking very ugh. He wasn't a great offensive player in college, but I was hoping he'd show something. Gonna finish the game though.

Noel looked great. Sixers are going to be a problem moving forward once everybody develops and get healthy.

Thanks man! Yeah can't wait til we get Noel & MCW together out on the court, I think they'll benefit each other so much ! The real treat we still have coming in the near future, Embiid & Noel; that's the dream :D

I don't think Noel will ever have a "smooth" offensive game. I think smooth athletes are kinda born that way. That doesn't mean Noel can't have an effective offensive game, but his little jump hooks, floaters, and jumpers do look awkward. But hey, if they go in no one will care. Still a long way to go. I look forward to watching him develop.

Wow that Gordon block. I think he'll end up being more like a Josh Smith than Blake Griffin
