If Bosh leaves and Lebron stays I think that actually puts us in better positioning. Frees up 16m+ from the cap and we'd have Gasol signed the next day and keep on rolling. We'd even have enough to offer deals to Isaiah Thomas and several of the other players we've been connected to.

If Riley was worried about Lebron leaving, then he would of been recruiting Melo. The Big 3 and the Heat all planned to keep quiet and disregard media reports. Since the Big 3 have remain silent the media is taking advantage of this by reporting every possible negative/drama creating scenario without any dispute.

Yeah. LBJ's commitment (or lack thereof, we are assuming), while it may be a problem, players want to know how much Wade/Bosh will settle on. My biggest fear is that by the time this stuff is agreed upon LeBron will be out the door.

BUT

You would think that before they left on vacation, they would have agreed on numbers in principle, no? Wade and Bosh are smarter than that. I doubt they would leave Riley with nothing to work with.
