These aren't exact numbers because I believe it depends on where they play their games (41 home games subject to income tax in that state, away games are subject to the state income tax rate in each respective state).
So a guess estimate would be around $2.5-3 million more state income tax over 4 years.
Don't forget New York City's nearly 3.9% city wage tax, which is added on to the state tax. On the other hand, both taxes are credited against the federal income tax (we need to cap that so states don't rob from the federal government, although at Melo's income, it probably is with the alternative minimum Federal income tax)).
