Yeah once we are down 10-14 pts we can sub out. SVG will be calling a TO pretty quick every game that starts on a 10-2 run for the other team.

In no context is starting those 3 together an acceptable option.

I don't care who's coaching, I want them out if it happens. And no, subbing quickly isn't an acceptable compromise. Every moment those 3 are out there together is detrimental to the team.

Most teams keep the same lineup on the floor the first 8 or 9 minutes of every game barring foul trouble. Quick substitutions would be transparent and would not help save face.

I've always believed you start with D and then try and beat up on your opponents 2nd unit.

In which case:

Monroe
Jorts/Jerebko
Datome
Meeks
Nelson (or Bynum)

Enough spacing for Monroe to go to work inside with Meeks the secondary

Which means Drummond, Smith, Singler, KCP & Jennings start...with Smith playing the high/low with Drummond

Aside from the talent that Andre has shown, the best part about him is that you can really tell he wants to be great. He is totally dialed in to the game and acts like a true professional. I remember there were questions about his attitude coming in to the NBA and I just don't understand because he has not shown an ounce of anything bad about it.

How many games started off with 10-2 runs last year with that starting lineup?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

No need for Dré to come off the bench,
SVG is calling the shots.
He decides who starts & who sits on the bench.

Agreed. Smith/Drummond is better defensively, it makes more sense as Monroe can come in for either one realistically, and this way you have a solid facilitator on the second unit.

I agreed but I fear Monroe isn't a team player.
