I'f Suns miss out on LeBron, would Bledsoe accept a max contract from the crappy Bucks? Suns offer $60/5 (12 per year), Bucks offer $60/4 (15 per year). I think Bledsoe would stay with Suns.
Again, how can the Bucks give him the max? I don't know if you missed my last post right before yours, but please let me know if you know something I don't.
Since they are under the cap they can make a trade and not be required to take back matching salary (I think). I am assuming the Bucks new owners are aware it will take a max contract to get Bledsoe, and that they have a plan to free up enough cap space to do so.
I guess they could do that. Typically it's the teams under the cap taking back the extra salary though. I guess if they find another team that is under the cap, they could do it, but it's a little risky to make moves to clear space to sign a restricted free agent who will likely be matched anyway. I imagine they'd have to be on the worse end of the trade to clear unwanted salary, or give up an asset like a future pick to clear it.
