You wouldn't root for the suns because of Jeremy Lin.

Who I believe has been shafted/screwed by Rockets by forcing him to be an off-ball PG next Harden.

Just for that, I want the suns to actually trade for him so he can play free reign as a backup PG and thrive.
Haters be damned.

I want to see the real suns fans in here, just for my own reference.

Team/franchise > individual players .... I follow teams not players.

Uhh take it easy on the drama. I just think Lin absolutely sucks. I am entitled to my opinion.

You are entitled for your opinion.

That's why I mentioned "I" a lot on my post.. Indicating my opinion also.

Yeah but you mentioned that you wanted to see real Suns fans in here, and I have been a real fan for decades. It is not like I would root against the Suns if they had Jeremy Lin. I was just trying to stress how much I truly dislike Lin. I cannot stand him at all. I would rather see Danny Granger in a Suns uniform and I hate Danny Granger.

If Bledsoe signs that offer sheet before Bron hypothetically commits to us, it'll mess up our plans in a big way.

Not for Amare himself (I could care less if he even suits up, though any PT would be a bonus), but basically to fleece value out of the Knicks (maybe Iman and a draft pick, though I believe the 2015 draft pick is off limits due to the new consecutive pick rules) so that the Knicks get some cap space, and the Suns get more assets to use in a future Love (or other superstar trade). If Dolan still has any say, he will do anything to make the Knicks competitive immediately (ex: sign Gasol to an overinflated contract). I don't see any sense in signing middling free agents, instead get some more assets, and make another Free agency or trade run in 6 months to a year. The Suns have the cap space, and it would be still there next summer. The Suns for this year would focus on their current roster and building up the new rooks.

No need to take Amare. Knicks have been looking to dump Shumpert for straight salary space for over a week now, and they really dont have any picks to offer besides 2nd rounders.

Well I meant anything of value, maybe a 3 team trade for another 1st rounder. The Knicks would do and give almost anything to get rid of that contract.

I don't see him doing it. His agent is smart enough to realize there will be other teams that will offer him the max and if phoenix is going to resign him no matter what it takes. Why ruin it for both of his players?

Seriously, I find it damn conspicuous that we haven't contacted Bosh. We have something up our sleeves. It ain't Melo. It ain't Bosh.

My spidey-sense is tingling. We're about to be crazy-good.

The Phoenix Suns remain an intriguing dark horse for James because general manager Ryan McDonough could offer him something no one else outside Miami can now: a second max-salary slot to pick a co-star. The Suns can quickly shed $10 million more in contracts to pursue James and a second star – perhaps Bosh, if James wanted – and they’d still be able to keep the talented core of Eric Bledsoe, Goran Dragic and center Miles Plumlee.

James’ agent Rich Paul represents Bledsoe and understands James’ commitment to the Suns would almost guarantee he could get Bledsoe a max-contract extension with the Suns.

I find it weird as well. Offering Bosh a max would force Rileys hand on the other hand Lebron might really want to play with Melo or Love instead and we would end up jumping the gun with our cap space.

I'm with you though I trust McD and think whatever he does we are either going to be really good next season or we are going into it knowing we did everything possible this off season to make that happen. We might not get there but McD put us on the map and if young talent gets even better next season we will be in an even better position

If Carmelo Anthony signs with the Knicks or Lakers, they he truly does not care about winning. All he cares about is money and fame. Both of those teams situations pale in comparison to the Bulls, Rockets, and Mavs. What the hell do the Knicks have besides money to offer him? Not really anything. What do the Lakers have to offer him? A soon to be 36 year old Kobe Bryant who is coming back from a completely ruptured achilles and broken kneecap. Oh yeah, a 40 year old Steve Nash too who looks like he can barely play basketball anymore.

He could take somewhat of a small pay cut and join the Mavs who would be loaded with him. He could join the Rockets who would be the new big three with him. Or he could join the Bulls whose defense is amazing and give him a legitimate shot to win the East. But no, he supposedly wants the Knicks or Lakers. I sincerely hope that if Lebron comes to Phoenix, he brings Bosh with him instead of Carmelo.

The Suns have definitely contacted Bosh and/or his agent. He knows the Suns are right there.

The west would be even more crazy.

The lakers really need a point guard and a center though. The two most important positions in the nba I feel. Do they even have a coach yet?

No coach as of yet. I think Byron Scott is the leading candidate.

But I can already see their box scores:
Kobe - 8/26, 0 assists
Carmelo - 6/25, 0 assists
Everyone else on the team - 0/0

Kobe/Melo making a combined 50 mil would be downright hilarious.

 Good luck to whoever takes that position. Nash/Kobe/Melo their cap space would be destroyed by those three

I'd like to think that Bledsoe is smart enough not to do anything that would prevent Lebron from potentially signing here, ESPECIALLY if that has him committing to the Bucks. We have PLENTY of money to offer Bledsoe, so i'd like to think that if Bledsoe was considering signing it solely because of the money, McD would promise to commit to the same contract once the LeBron mess is over

a.) i dont think we are looking at Melo because adding him would require us gutting our depth. that has shown to be a bad choice when it comes to adding superstars.
b.) my feeling about Bosh is that because LeBron is looking elsewhere the Big3 is over, and there are some salty wounds. IF we add Lebron then their is no point in adding Bosh because the bridge is broken between the two.

--------

Hypothetically if we added Lebron, do you think the suns would add a guy like Josh Smith. IMO Smith at PF wouldnt be any worse than Bosh and would actually cost loss. Because of his contract and his position clash with Monroe, i wouldnt be surprised if we could get more value from Detroit by taking him off their hands.

I think we'd be somewhat flexible about whether we added a PF or SF next to LeBron, but I think we'd want to put a shooter next to him. Josh doesn't fit the bill. So I doubt it. But good thinking.

Shabazz Napier turned the ball over on his first possession and launched an airball on one of his final shots during his first game as an NBA point guard.

That'll keep LeBron in Miami.

Bledsoe & LeBron have the same agent.

If Bledsoe is serious about recruiting Lebron and Lebron & Rich Paul are actually considering us, then Bledsoe won't do anything to mess up the Suns chances.

I would assume we made a good faith agreement with Rich Paul regarding Bledsoe. Eric will get paid with or without Lebron.
