Lakers have moved into serious contention on Carmelo Anthony, multiple sources tell Yahoo. "In the game now," one source close to Melo says.

They got to have some sort of Randle-Love trade in the works if it goes down.

If my wife made 80-100 mil in her job we are moving wherever she says.

Hell my wife just got her nursing degree making a lot of money and we are still going to move wherever she says.

That seems logical. Although I've got some property to sell you if you think there isn't a good chance that if the roles were reversed and men tried that with women, they wouldn't respond with something along the lines of "oh you think you can tell me where we're gonna live because you're a man?" or "oh you think you can tell me what to do because you make more money than me?"

Yeah but that was before Melo started taking visits or getting any offers. Are you still hearing Melo to the Bulls is a lock? Cause well...that just doesn't seem to be realistic anymore.

Not true. Nash gets stretched and they can offer Pau market value. Then from there they can pay Young the room exception. Then can bring back Farmar and Henry on the minimum with the promise of early bird rights and in Jordan's case starting. Then they can offer Blake! Caron, and a vet big (JO) all of whom they've talked to the minimum. Clarkson will be retained for a year or d league seasoning. Kelly already has a QO

Kobe and Melo
Randle at 120%
Pau at 8mil
Swaggy at the room exception
Farmar and Henry returned with early bird rights ala jr smith the next summer
Ryan Kelly QO, Sacre, and Marshall
Cheap vet like Steve Blake and Jermaine ONeal

Its silly to think that they haven't put in the due diligence, but you would if you only watched sportscenter and list ended to Broussard over knowing they've contacted other minor guys and would assemble something like

Farmar/Blake/Marshall
Kobe/Young
Melo/Henry
Randle/Kelly
Pau/JO/Sacre

Clarkson - Dfenders

That's what they've looked at. It's always even acknowledged that they were t retaining Bazemore, Brooks, Wes, or Kaman ... They've maintained contact with hill as well but it's already been detailed they would need. Young to take one for the team and sacrifice a year for his early bird rights as well if hill went for the room

Oh man is that team nothing but a whole lot of average, especially in the West. But good luck if that's the plan.

That team isn't doing a damn thing in the west. And that's if Kobe comes back fully healthy.

Lakers allow him to get out of NY, if he wants out. He gets his money, he gets to be in a big market, he gets great weather, his wife is happ, etc.

I don't think it's a worse option than NY.

Not all wives are created equal. Some are damn cool when it comes to stuff like this.

Being a husband....the kind that wants to stay married for the rest of his life...means you put your wife first. Not wife 1a and career 1b. But wife is first. Some of the attitudes i see here go to great lengths to explain our divorce rate. Being a wife is not about being "cool". Its about being a wife. When you marry, your family should trump all. People don't live to work. They work to live.

If Woj says it, I stand corrected and am shocked that the Lakers would even be in the conversation. At a basketball stand point, it doesnt make sense. That team will not be a top 5 seed in the playoffs. Best case scenario is Farmer/Kobe/Melo/Randle/Gasol. Just doesnt look good at all and would give up 80 points at halftime.

Chicago/New York/Los Angeles. Who would have thought.....

Will Phil and Jeanie break up if this happens? Or will Phil just pull the ole switcheroo on Dolan and be hired as the Lakers head coach?

Lol man gtfoh. Lakers aren't getting nobody. You're like that 13 year old who wants to play 5v5 with the real ballers. Watch from the sideline little homie, wasting my time having to read about the Lakers now....bruh..

Unlike you I'm not even being rude or trolling but let's be real here.

Chicago hasn't lured a star free agent since they fd up with MJ and pip. They've had cap, the lakers haven't had any cap since 96. The bulls have an owner who runs from the tax and punches pennies, Jeanie buss is on record of saying they don't give a **** about the tax after they gave Kobe that extension. The bulls are banking on Rose who hasn't played in 2 years, had injuries and missed games before his knees gave out on non contact and he has confidence issues. They aren't getting out the east themselves and Melos not giving up money to log 40 minutes like how Deng was run into the ground when Rose goes down and Noah misses his yearly amount of games, as Thibs over extends his team, and their owner refuses to spend to compete. If the bulls really wanted to compete and show Melo they were about that life of spending like a real team with aspirations boozer gets amnestied over traded because it tells him we aren't cheap, just like the lakers have already said Nash is gone, we will feel out the team, pay the tax, and give you max while still raking in millions. That's real, but hey get your hopes up like with T-Mac and later on Bron/Bosh/Wade ... Maybe you should've took care of Phil/MJ/Pip like la did its own

Lol im just kidding man, I thought that was obvious.

You guys still suck though :D

I think it would be a great summer for the Bulls if Lebron goes to Houston, or anywhere West and Melo goes to LA.

Who would be our toughest competition on the EC? We would be favorites to make the Finals with a healthy Rose. If we could get Stephenson away from Indy, we could really rule the East.

Hey guys. So I just want to give you a piece of info I just heard. Last year I interned at Steptoe Johnson, a very large global law firm. I still keep up with some people there. A few of the senior partners are season ticket holders, and also do a lot of work with InCapital, which is owned by Tom Rickett, the Cubs owner. Anyway, word is, in the office, Melo's attorney's are heading into Chicago tomorrow. That is all I got.
