Sorry bro but losing every year in the first round (once to the clippers) except once while in Denver is like not making the playoffs to me but then again I got the privilege to see the 90s Knicks and more, so forgive me if Melos first round exits don't impress me and especially when it will cost a 129 mill to keep those accomplishments on this team
And how many championships did those 90s teams win?
If it wasn't for Riley keeping Starks while he.couldn't make a shot atleast one, but to answer you're question.we didn't win any but damn those team's had heart and were a pleasure to watch and if it wasn't for Jordan and his Bull's we would of been in the finals more then the 2 time we got there

Mirotic and a couple of picks?
I'd rather not include mirotic. knicks can take the picks or lose him for nothing.

Melo's lawyers don't need to be in Chicago for him to sign a contract, and if it was there at an agreement already, somebody like Wojina would have it. There wouldn't be "Lakers are in the game" quotes. NBA contracts are uniform. They're not long contracts that lawyers need to sift through or fly to Chicago to review and sign.

A poster on the bulls board said his buddies work for a big Chicago law firm and they tell him Melos lawyers will be there tomorrow. He then followed up with saying Melo will also be there like late morning

Lawyers in their offices on a Sunday after a national holiday? LOL.
I can only imagine what a superstars law team gets paid. They'd probably miss every calender holiday if they needed to for their rich clients

non-sense. LBJ can buy into a vision of playing in an actual system, and the 2015 plan, that would still be in full effect. with full input privileges...
Lebron is not coming to the knicks without another star or two in place for any reason at any point in his career
i know hes not coming..
but he could have his pick of the 2015 class on a team with the capspace...and that is something. i understand the common fan cant see past the current off-season, but pros look ahead. maybe he wants to play with Aldridge or Love on a team that can get him, and a system in place.... he could have his pick of the liter...

True. Makes sense but we would not be sending a big, long term contract back. Its either Booz and some picks/Mirotic, or some other filler contract with the offer. Nice avatar btw. Young bearded Phil is sexy! Crazy shoulders
You've missed the point. Sending him out West is always better than keeping him in conference.
And about my avy...
I always thought a reset made more sense than trying to build around Melo in a hurry. Phil is the zen master but as a new GM thats a tall order.
AS for the conf. rival thing, sure thats an issue, but if you are rebuilding anyway I dont think there is such a conflict. The Bulls windows is 3-4 seasons max with Melo and our core. Not sure its worth not getting assets back when the overlap in contention is not really an issue, but we shall see what happens here.
In conf. deals is not unprecedented. OKC moved Harden to HOU after all. Gasol moved from MEM to LA. It happens.
