That's a team I would renew my season tickets for, I'll tell you that. Assuming you're willing to bank on the Giannis/Parker pairing (very early to do so of course). Buuuut....I am, so I say go for it!

We will not be getting a player the caliber of Bledsoe in next years draft.

Obviously very unlikely to happen and I think they match a max offer.

They will definitely match. We will have to figure out an S&T.

If they'll definitely match, why didn't they already give him that contract?

Holding out some minor hope for LeBron or Melo?

Speaking of parody accounts, one of the best one is the Scott Skiles on Facebook. If that's one of you guys, then props. Every (rare) status update always has me cracking up.

Why bid against themselves?

Makes perfect sense to be looking for a competent pg, if for nothing else than to help the young guys develop their games. Can't go into the season with Wolters as your only true pg.

I'd rather trade one of our vets for a guy rather than sign one outright a la Vasquez though.

If he's good enough to pay like that, he's good enough to commit to. Why let a million voices into his head?

While we all want a different lineup, lets be honest about our opening night starters:

Knight
Mayo
Jabari
Ersan
Larry

Tank on fellas!

The no-doubt max guys get max offers as soon as they're able to get offers. Their team offers a max extension the year before they're FAs, and if they reject, July 1 there are 8 teams waiting with an offer sheet. I don't think Phoenix thinks of him that way, and I'm unsure he gets a max offer. If he does, I don't think they match it.

It's hard to justify based on his limited track record, the fact that he did not play to the level of those obvious max guys even during the small part of his career that you'd be using to justify his max deal, and the fact that he missed almost half of that year with a cartilage injury that was not able to be repaired.

The upside is there and you can certainly hang your hat on that if you're paying him.

that would be areful, but if we don't sign any quality PGs... epic tank 2.0. I don't see LE or Kidd living through that areful baddiness unless FA is a total fail... anything is possible.... Yet these guys have reputations to uphold... so no!!

Bledsoe/Wolters
Knight/Mayo
Giannis/Middleton
Parker/Henson
Sanders/O'Bryant or Zaza

Totally on board with any upgrade at PG... THE Only way this team gets better, is with a semblance of half court proficiency and ball movement... all anti Knight stuff...

If that team only wins 30 games, it is not worth putting together.

In the west... I'd support that thought..

In the east, that's 5 seed... A scary one because it's a young hungry team that could punch an aging team right in the mouth.

It wins 30ish this year. Give it a couple of years of development and I think you are looking at 50.

if we make progress, by developing a team transition game, and a half court offense with multiple outlets... Winning with tiger blood... even if it is 25-30 wins...

I personally think knight is the better prospect, and i think his game will blossom under Kidd, just my humble opinion though.

Thank you!!! Words of wisdom. I hope you are right and we dont pull a boner move on an often injured guy in Bledsoe or a Flash in the pan Jeremy Lin

I'd love to get Bledsoe, but he is far from worthy of a max contract.

emunney wrote:IMO if you think Bledsoe's a max player, you see if you can work something out with the Suns so you're assured of getting him. If they won't play ball, throw the max deal at them and make them match it. Then, if that doesn't work out, I think you have to break apart the roster around whatever you figure the core is to maximize flexibility and your shot at another top pick next year.

If you don't think Bledsoe's a max player, proceed directly to step 3.

Except we don't have max cap space because we badly needed Zaza and Delfino.
