Jesus Christ, some of these Monroe trades are atrocious.

Frye is a UFA. He just opted out of a deal where he was getting 7 mil a year. He's obviously going to be looking for a big pay day and most certainly will not be worth it.

I thought Gerald Green plays SG and would be undersized at SF.

Anyways, Frye plays Center and PF while he is an excellent 3 point shooter. Frye could back up both front court positions. This is a Stan type of player and then then add in a Starting caliber defensive minded PG. It is not that far fetched.

Not trading Monroe for Green/Frye

More like Monroe/Jennings or Monroe/Smith for Bledsoe/Frye

If we were to trade monroe to the suns it would have to be for bledsoe imo.

Honestly, I think Frye opted out not for a larger salary per season, but for a longer, more secure contract. It wasn't long ago that he discovered a heart condition that nearly knocked him out of the league, so you can understand the desire for financial security.
