Having a guy like Noel in the middle changes a lot for us. We had 0 presence in the lane last year so a lot of our players had to play help defense which lead to a ton of open 3 pointers. I think Noel adds 5-7 wins for this team.

Hard to say because we don't know how this FA thing will pan out. Who knows? Maybe we might end up with Lin and/or Boozer.

But I guess looking at the competition for the worst record, we'd probably be worse than Magic and Bucks. Bucks had Jabari and a talented roster. While the Magic always have a core of good vets plus collective talent of rookies.

Yes, another assumption, which I think is safe, is that Philly won't make any FA moves that "move the needle." I would include Lin in that category, whether he plays or is bought out.

Terrible. Our roster is almost exactly like our summer league add MCW and maybe Thad. We will be dead last barring a team doing a better job at tanking then us.

Last year the 76ers were worst than a 19 win team. They won about 5 games in miracle fashion. Out: Veterans, Turner, Hawes and Lavoie for 2/3rds of a season. In: Rookies, Nerlens Noel, KJ McDaniels and Jerami Grant. I'd say this year's team, without any trades or signings wins 19 games again.

The 76ers, will fight the Magic and Jazz for the #1 pick again.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

The roster will probably have some changes, but they'll be better than last year with Noel on the floor. MCW/Thompson/Thad/Noel/Sims will compete, but struggle to score. I wouldn't be shocked if they approach 30 wins.

1) I think with MCW, Hollis, and Noel all a year older (and playing), we'll be a better basketball team.
2) I don't think we were a 19 win team last year. We had a disproportionate amount of close game wins. Based off of talent and point differential, we were probably a 15-16 win with team with good (well, bad, in this case) luck IMO.

That said, I think ~21 wins this year, which will be a bigger improvement than it looks just by looking at the win total. Say, maybe -6 net rating than the -10.5 we sported last year.

I think that if the team that finished the year last year had played the entire year that we would have won 10-15 games.

This year, my guess is 15-20 games. Before we drafted two rookies that won't play this year(I love both picks) I was guessing 20-25 wins.

I'm not sure if there are any teams worse that us. I think that the Bucks will be better than us for example. They still don't have a point guard, but Parker and a healthy Sanders should really improve them, especially is Giannis takes the next step.

I choose 16-20

We had 5 or 6 fluke wins last year (Hawes with his running one footed 3 pointer from the baseline, James Anderson hitting every 3 pointer, Turner channeling Andrew Toney twice, etc.)

MCW wasn't able to work on his game cause of his surgery

Noel is essentially a rookie

Plus, more teams will try and be competitive cause this draft won't be as deep/special as last year. So we should have more buyers at the trade deadline.

I also think Pierre going down hurts us a little bit. No instant offense off the bench

22-60 sounds about right. We'll struggle to score, but will be better defensively because we'll actually have a presence in the middle with Noel.

Believe 20-62, assuming Thad will get traded eventually, believe that initial shock will be much like Turner and Hawes getting traded, however we'll eventually figure it out. I would try to run Noel and Sims together tbh.

Also, hopefully Wroten improved.

Its hard to say, maybe 25 wins, but we will look a lot better as a team than we did last year. MCW, Thompson I think will improve quite a bit and there is no telling what kind of presence Noel will bring.

not quite as bad as people think.
I believe Noel adds a lot to this team. Him and MCW will steal some wins this season

I say 21-25 wins. Slightly better than last season but still bad enough to finish in the bottom 5.

I voted 21-25. I also think 16-20 is doable.

I'll say a slight improvement to 20-22 wins. We're gonna win less than 15 though if Thad gets traded before the season (doesn't look likely though). We won't have Hawes/ET helping us overachieve but our defense should be alot better with the addition of Noel+KJ.

I don't know. I think the Sixers will be slightly improved, but you can't just look at it in a vacuum. Most of our opponents will have improved too. I mean, we are the only team where both of our 1st round picks won't be playing. All the other lotto teams will all have additions to their team, so I think that keeps us farther away from the pack.

If Melo leaves the Knicks they will be really bad. Maybe worst in the NBA. I think the Sixers will have the worst record in the NBA this season unless some team plays uncharacteristically horrible basketball or a team gets an injury.

Most will depend on how well Noel plays. If he has some rookie struggles typical of most rookies, I think it is 15-20. If he really plays well and is a ROTY candidate, I think 20-23.

I went with 16-20 wins since they are going to hold out Embiid. I think the toll of last year will catch up to MCW and Noel and things will get absolutely ugly this year. If they decide to allow Embiid to play we could see some light at the end of the tunnel. But if they hold him out like they are positioning to do. I can't see this year going well at all. To the detriment of the young players we do have. Starting to doubt the path we are taking. Won't even allow Noel to play today. Tank the summer league I suppose : /. Who wants to start taking bets they will start holding Noel out of regular season games on the regular as well?

I'd say 21-25. I think we'll be more fun to watch though.
