Anybody who has a brain knows Melo has already made his decision. Now it's all about the details of the contract. If nothing has leaked from LA or Chi then chances are it's being handled internally by the Knicks.

I think he is going to go great here, but seriously it is almost pathetic how some of you praise his every word like he is some basketball guru.

We're just a bunch of beaten down Knicks fans looking for some hope. Can't you at least let us have that?

Let me say this about RR: I would have so much respect for him if his twitter account was for trolling his fellow Knicks fans and he was giggling to himself over each new fantasy he posts and then backs ferociously.

But I don't believe this. The twitter stuff makes me think the guy is legitimately stupid and I have a tough time taking anyone who likes his music seriously because of it.

I also think Melo is hung up knowing the Knicks won't be able to contend next year. He's probably willing to trust Phil w/ building this team quickly, especially in the 2015 summer. I just think he is having a lot of second thoughts about going through another possibly tough year next season.

When this is all over, whatever he does, I will be so thankful. I know how much of a toll this takes on me as a Bulls fan. I cant imagine how hard it is on most of you since it's a Knicks player.

But what do the Lakers offer him? Kobe's been injured the last two years and is old. No coach. No Gasol (yet). No team. Western Conference. Yuk.

Really, the Bulls are the team to go to if he wants to take a shot at next year.

Houston and Dallas are two other options. Bulls have easiest path though.

I said in the Bulls Melo thread just now, that I think the LA scenario is a complete heap of ****.

He's not going out there to play w/ Kobe who should retire, and a 34 year old Gasol as his running mates in the near impossible West. NO WAY. I think you guys agree w/ me on that.

The no coach thing is also a big deal, and let's be real, is there a coach out there currently the Lakers bring in that makes Melo want to be there more? Probably not.

And yes the Bulls would be a good place to go to stay East and have some pretty decent pieces around you, and Thibs of course.

Just seems like the ship sailed on the Melo thing to Chicago. Unless the Lakers angle to this helps Bulls work on a 3 way S&T because the Lakers have some interest in Booz for a year if they can't get Melo or Gasol back.

Please break the silence Melo and end this. FOR ALL OF US.

Yep. I said this months ago. Melo will leave, Amare will play like he gives a damn but will go down after we win our 30th game, leaving JR Starks to man the Tank. He'll hit a few game winners giving us another 37 win season and the 13th overall pick :noway:

I'd rather it be Chicago than LA cause we can get some pretty good pieces from Chicago in a sign and trade.

I'd want them to take back JR and give up MCD too. We'll add in Prigs.

So,

Melo, JR, Prigs

-- for --

Mirotic, McDermott, 2015 1st, 2017 1st, Sac pick, non-guaranteed deals.

Not sure that works under the salary cap rules. Can we really send out 30 million and just take back around 6 even in a S/T? At that point I'd be willing to take back Boozer for all those assets if they added in a bit more.

That would be pretty fair but I dont know if Knicks would get McD who was obviously the Bulls 2014 pick, and give up 15' and 17'. That's a lot of firsts to give up plus Mirotic who was a first rounder and would have been a way higher pick if not for his buyout and the rumor he only wanted a major market to play in.

taking back JR and Prigs is great for the Knicks for next year but Bulls probably wouldn't have to give up that much guys if the Knicks are making the Bulls take on 2 more players w/ contracts running through next season too.

I hear you. The West is an absolute crap shoot, or worse. Spurs, OKC, and Clippers are FOR REAL CONTENDERS, then when you look at the teams following those 3, the competition is amazing. Melo isn't going West.
