No it's not good business unless the assets make it worth using up your cap. A sign n trade with the bulls would require that they compensate the lakers for two things, first for letting them get gasol at a salary they wouldn't otherwise couldn't offer and likely would result in them not getting gasol. Second they need to compensate the lakers for absorbing salary that is of no use to the lakers. This article makes it seem like taking on boozer is somehow a good thing cause he's expiring, laughable.
To start off they're going to be takingn on Nash to offset the salary te lakers would take on. Then they have to throw in some actual assets of value.
Truthfully, I don't see anything wrong with the article aside from using the word "likely" when mentioning adding assets to get the Lakers' interest since almost all of the time some type of "asset" or something perceived as valuable changes hands to the team taking on salary and aiding in the S&T. How things are valued differs by the individual. Anyways, too much nit picking here.
I like Jimmy Butler's name being thrown around and feel that realistically he and a 1st round pick can be had. Butler is a guy who would be nice for us next year, but Mitch would have to unload him soon after as an add on. I like his game and can even see him improving his 3pt shooting, but I just see more journeyman in him than I do a super 3D player.
