I don't think people expect Oladipo to start a PG in the long term, just at the start of the season until Payton is ready. It would be stupid to force Payton out there in the starting roll early, let him adjust and feel comfortable until he's ready to start. Also, while Oladipo is really a Shooting Guard, he does well enough at PG and with the addition of Fournier giving us two backcourt players that can handle the ball well, it makes sense to have those two starting early on. Still though, even if Payton does start I still fully expect Dipo to get minutes at the PG position, so I think you should get used to it.
I really don't think it's a bad thing either, he does a pretty good job and with a year of playing some PG under his belt, he should look even better this year. It's great to have a player that is versatile and can play two positions, it allows us to play a lot of different line-ups. Does that mean I don't think Dipo is better suited to play SG, of course not. However, I really don't see any problem having him play some PG, just so long as we don't attend to make that his full-time position, and with the drafting of Payton, I don't think that's what the Magic attend to do.
