Obviously LA is a beautiful place. He lives there in the off-season. That doesn't mean they're a better team. Steve Nash is done, Kobe is 35. Knicks have Phil Jackson and possibly signing Pau Gasol. Melo is talking to Pau about coming here, which I think is clear indication that he's staying. He's also down with Phil's plan to build a contender. Lakers don't even have a coach! He's not going there.
The coach thing I think actually plays in LA's favor because they can tell him and CAA to hand pick one and you know who's out of a job that Melo got along with? Yeah Mike Woodson.
