Oh, I was saying that I was another person that really wanted Burke... So I wasn't too impressed when we selected Pope. However, it looked like a good decision at times last year, but now it looks like it was a great decision because of how he has been dominating the summer league. Apparently he's a much better player when he's playing his style of game who would have ever guessed that? Not Cheeks and company . It's amazing what a little confidence will do. I hope he has a breakout season like Drummond did. We got a really good 2way player out of a draft that honestly hasn't looked that good right now and I'm pleased about it

Cheeks was a retread with a murky vision for the team that did not involve leveraging the talents of KCP. KCP is showing his grit, talent, and athleticism. I hope he has a breakout year.

Meeks definitely isn't a 1. It's more likely KCP spots minutes at the 3.

Neither. Meeks shouldn't see any minutes at the one. KCP should see some spot minutes at the 3, but the position should be mainly occupied by Singler & Martin.

We need to not get ahead of ourselves with KCP. I love him as a player and I think he can grow into a premier SG in the league with the combination of his size, athletic ability, and potential offensively and defensively but he's no where near the player he needs to be to stay effective consistently this upcoming season.

We have to remember that even though we are seeing positive signs he is only playing against D-league type talent in the summer league. He should be playing the way he is right now and he and SVG know that more than anybody. If KCP can have a Reggie Jackson type season we should all be happy for that. Last year people around the league were talking about Jackson just like how they are talking about KCP right now. We just have to wait till the season to see how KCP is truly utilized and see if his production can help get us some wins.

Ah the voice of reason. I totally agree with you giving us all a sanity check, but with very little to be happy about coming out of last season, it is great to see little rays of hope. KCP's poise and fire, albeit against summer league comp, is still an encouraging ray of hope.

He's doing exactly what he should be, dominating the competition. I like the fact that he admitted having a chip on his shoulder, which should carry over into camp. I hope he continues to have dominate performances and I hope he remains healthy.


Additionally, it would be cool to see a Reggie Jackson like season, but I want more. That doesn't mean I'll get it, but I would definitely like to see a breakout year for KCP.

We need to wait and see who will be on the team when the season starts before thinking about numbers and overall production but as long as his efficiency goes up he should at least give us 12-14ppg, couple that with outstanding defense and you've got one helluva 21 year old ball player.
