Personally, just my misinformed opinion here... I think Lebron should ABSOLUTELY consider signing with New York and I think Melo would be a better fit with us and should come here.

I was vocal about this when the Big 3 signed in Miami. As much as I couldn't stand them, I thought they would have been best served with a HC who used the triangle offense and thought they should have looked at one of Phil Jackson's former assistants (I think it was Brian Shaw, but I could be wrong) if not PJ himself (who Pat Riley would have had way too much ego to hire). Lebron is perfectly suited for that offense as someone who is a great passer and can create his own shot at will. I think Melo would be perfect for what Thibs has in mind as a high post pick and roll scorer and floor spacer. I think both of them being on the same team would be a shame because one of them would be contributing a fraction of what they could potentially do in a situation more suited for his talents.

From a cosmic justice standpoint though... I want Lebron back in Cleveland (make good with them) and for Miami to end up with Wade and a bunch of scrubs.

Apparently moving a good productive player like Taj on a fair contract is impossible, but moving Amare is possible because of Shump... That's what I am supposed to believe anyways.

Good lord man. He was in the social network and is a highly accomplished stage actor.
It's not as if he was a unknown.

I hate you all so much for making me discuss comics and adapted comic movies in this Melo thread.

I disagree with alot of what Jemele Hill has to say, and I might be crazy to say this, but I think she's legendary.

The Bulls could offer Melo the max via S&T.

Also, he won't come to Chicago for $80M, but he'll go to Miami bow-down to LBJ and take less than $80M?!

Between LA, Miami and Chicago, we are the only team that can do this. The reporters are not talking about this, either.

On the next ESPN 30 for 30 "Melo: Yeah I'm Lebrons B***h".
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

I say we start the recruiting pitch to Jabari right now so that come 4 years, it's only a formality at that point to meet with him.

Jabari is the next big target we need to set our sights on.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

Melo wouldn't go to the Bulls on a max without Taj but he'd go play with 76 year old backcourt in LA, rookie Power Forward, Casper as coach, new Dolan running the show

Come on man who are they fooling

Everyone is out of the loop except Melo and the Bulls

SAS needs to stop pooping on Chicago. You don't think we could trade Taj to Orlando or Philly for a second rounder? COME ON!!!

The FO is garbage. Probably coming up with Mirotic and Ariza.

No they didn't. We can't force people to come here. They have done everything they can do so far.

You really need to stop with all this "logic" bullchit. We have no patience for such folly here.

We are engaged in minor move free agents, if we are even doing that. The Bulls have been dead quiet for awhile now.

We were already engaged with those guys beforehand. We have been on them since we started chasing Melo.
The lack of logic behind this is insane.

No, its our FO being unwilling to move Taj. Thats all it is. We are not getting Carmelo Anthony cause GarPax won't get rid of Taj Gibson. I like the FO being loyal but come on now. We could trade Taj in 5 minutes, and offer Melo max, but our guys wont do it.
