Are we shocked that Riley is going after multiple players? They have to. They had two players under contract. The question wasn't whether the Heat would sign a bunch of free agents but the caliber of said free agents and so far it's nothing to write home about.

I don't see much wrong with the Granger signing, he can take most of the minutes at the 2 if Wade goes on that maintenance program again. I guess this means Ray is retiring?

Eh Granger seems like a James Jones replacement to me, and McRoberts a Battier replacement.

If the Big 3 are all coming back, I'd expect our last 2 announcements to be a younger shooting guard with range (Morrow?) and a veteran PG

McRoberts - I had mixed feelings about and wished he was a rebounder. I was disappointed with the fact that we could have gotten Hawes for the same price.

I watch a lot of teams play, granger especially cuz I watch a lot of clipper ball (very entertaining). Granger at this point, is a scrub. He will stand in the corner ala Lewis and shoot the 3 worse than lewis(hard to top that).

I like these small unheralded moves better than a big splash. McRoberts is a very versatile player and can run that Heat defense that Spo likes. I don't think this team wants to change its identity one bit. It will still be small ball, 3 point shooting and trapping defense. We're just bringing in more youth to run the defense better as opposed to bringing in a big and going conventional
