Dallas, Lakers, and Boston Interested in Lance

Lakers probably don't have the cap for Lance if they get Melo, but Dallas could definitely be a contender. Does Boston have any cap space at all? S&T Lance and Hill for Rondo?

I like the sound of that. The whole team would get better with Rondo.

I would love that deal but that then gives Boston logjam of 1s and 2s all worthy of starters minutes: Lance (at about 9ish million a year), Hill (at about 8 per), Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley (who they just signed to about 8 per which is probably a reason why Lance didn't like under 9 million) and James Young. Not sure that's a problem wants to have. Similar issue with Phoenix and Dragic trade scenarios, I'd think

I'm still scratching my head about that deal Boston gave Avery Bradley.

Not sure why Boston wants him other than Ainge being the type who loves buy low guys. They just resigned Bradley to a huge money deal and drafted Smart who will likely be a better version of Lance in a couple years.

I personally have zero interest in any of Boston's players outside of their rookies, so I won't be happy with a deal to send Lance there. Rondo makes no sense for us and there's no way we can afford to pay him a max deal like he wants. Sullinger/Olynyk would be buried and I'm not sold on Olynyk as a rotation player even. We also have no use for Bass or Green. So unless it's a 3 team deal, I don't see it. I also don't see Bird sending his 4 year long project guy to Ainge in the same conference.

I don't know why so many people are crapping on Lance, the guy puts up serious #s in pts, rebs, and asts. And he's only 23, I expect he's gonna be better in 2014-15 and if we don't resign him we're gonna end up looking stupid.

I agree with you. Lance is our future along with PG. I don't know why everyone keeps sayin he's so replaceable when he's really not. He was a major reason the team has been good the last 2 years an losing him will make the pacers take a huge step backwards.

You and me both. Lance' perceived value in addition to guys like Bradley and Jodie Meeks getting overpaid is probably why Lance feels slighted by our offer at the moment

Holy cow CHANNING FRYE just got $32 million/4 years. No wonder Lance wants more. I expect to be signed for a minimum contract at this rate, jesus.

Good Lance, absolutely. Bad. Lance divides the locker room and helps collapse your season.

He's a dichotomy. Truly. Such potential for greatness, but he could push it all away. A modern day Latrell Sprewell or Isiah Rider.

How do we know it was lance who divides the locker room? Maybe it's Hibbert or George Hill. Lance is the best passer on the team I'd rather give him the point and see what he can do. Now I know that he makes some crazy passes at times, but I've seen him make a massive jump the last two years. If he continues to improve and mature he could be a great player.

Comparing Lance to Spreewell and Rider is not fair what has he done to warrant such scorn? :nonono:

I can't see giving Frye that kinda money let's hope the Magic have a team option after y2. The thing is they have to spend a certain amount or the players on the team get the difference so they needed a big and he's the only one left.

The media was reporting back when Hibbert said "there's some selfish dudes in here", he was referring to Lance and his antics, specifically his rebound stealing.

Sprewell? Both have physically assaulted people close to them in their lives; Spree his coach, and Lance his GF. Crazy antics on court like blowing in the ear of Lebron. Constant weird comments in public.

There are legit questions about Lance. Serious talent, but serious maturity and responsibility questions.

I think of the teams that are reportedly interested in Lance, Boston has the best shot in landing him. They drafted Smart in hopes of making him the point guard of the future. Though Bradley just signed a huge contract, Lance is clearly a better option, and Bradley can be that first guy off the bench.

Rondo is on his way out, and they can really swing in a good trade for him. But I personally don't see us getting Rondo if a deal is going to happen.

I'm no nba player but I play a lot of b.ball. Basketball is both mental and physical. As good as this guy can be, he'll make others that much worse sometimes with his antics. With all of that said, :banghead:
I still want Lance back. He's going to be really good and I think him and PG can be something special.

Come on Larry Legend, make something happen !!

So he blew in Lebrons ear; while trying to get in his head and win a playoff game; and hit his gf which might I add you dont have a clue that he really did; or what she did that couldve caused it. It was alleged; and she got paid; you know ppl do crazy things to get paid now days. Like the alleged Kobe rape. None of that warrants the term character issues. Im beginning to think that some of the fans want to see the man in a halfway house in a straight jacket. He may be smart to leave Indy considering that the teams exec (Bird) and fans have slandered him so bad. No other teammates around the league labels a guy "bad lance" "bad Stephen Jackson" "bad demarcus cousins" or bad "Ben Roethlisburger" you know the one who alleged raped someone. In his position I would probably leave just because of that.

Lance s+t plus Copeland plus Scola's deal (which they waive) = Rondo+a lower cap number? Hill slides to 2 where he's slightly undersized, but gives us the best ballhandling backcourt in the league (unless I'm forgetting someone).

I just don't think they let Rondo walk without pushing Wallace's deal out the door with him. I don't think they'll move him until the trade deadline when they can make that happen. I'd be phoning the Knicks to take Stoudemire's huge expiring at the deadline in exchange for Rondo and Wallace.

At any rate... a s+t'd Lance with Copeland in exchange for a 1 or 2 guard may be the best out for the Pacers now. We won't know much more until some of the big chips fall though.

lol If Roy really said that then he has some nerve. The 7'2 guy who had 0 points and 0 rebounds in a couple games in the playoffs. What is it called when Paul gets 14 rebounds in a game. Is it still called stealing rebounds? Rebounding is an antic? This validates the soft comments that Bird made. He needs to direct them right at Roy specifically because he is too big to complain and make excuses.

I always thought that having Roy seal off the other teams best rebounder leaving the easy boards for the guards was part of the game plan... Wasn't it? It generally didn't appear that Roy had any interest in grabbing those boards, only that he was making them available. Generally for Stephenson.
