It's starting to look like we will be bringing back the same basic team, only younger and maybe more athletic.

I'll take it lol

IF you were a troll, you wouldn't be posting. A warning is just that, a warning to be-careful. Enjoy the boards; Talk about all the moves but know that were all a family here and this MOD team isn't from Cleveland, were trained by Riley to seek and destroy!

Of course he will be back, he'll get close to Max Dollars now. That will be another huge mistake going forward. Bosh is NOT worth the Max or anywhere near it.

Riley would have been wiser to simply let him go and use his money on better free agents. The third member of the big 3 simply does not produce at a level consistently enough that is needed. To pay him Max Dollars will be a huge mistake.

I really don’t understand some of the posts on this board. We basically have NO TEAM, yet we sign two guys to our roster(verbal commitment) that know our financial and current roster situation. Instead of applauding them and/or looking for how they can be an upgrade over last year, we’re b@tching because the guys we want won’t commit or sign elsewhere. All of our favorites got basically overpaid plus we had no roster in place to offer any real challenge.

I don’t think ANY signing will be acceptable to some of you, you look for a reason to debate for the sake of debating. You can’t praise Pat Riley for the home run moves he makes, yet slam him if he doesn't make the “popular moves”

Frankly this is not the best off season as it relates to personnel, I’d be happy with LBJ and anybody for at least the next 2 years when more money and/o better players MAY be available.

I have no commit about BOSH and Houston, Napier is our 1st round pick, and Ennis shows enough for me to be excited, given a REAL opportunity.

Thursday will be here soon enough, I am excited to see what this team looks like. I like the Granger and McRoberts signing.

BTW - We're one of the very organizations left that's run like a real PROFESSIONAL organization, it's easy to let the players run the team and front office(THINK NETS) -....Sometimes it's best to align yourself with a winner instead of challenging sh@t all the time. And if LBJ is pissed about what Pat Riley said in his presser, then SO BE IT....HIS PRIOR OWNER said 1000 times worse and WAS talking to and about him...

Yeah, that's what retooling is I suppose. Different personnel with similar roles that fit the team better.

For the last time, Thomas does not work for us as a starter. Our starting backcourt would be a joke defensively with Wade/Thomas. We need to improve our defense not bring in a 5'9 PG with a declining Wade whose defense is slipping.

Wade and Thomas are both pretty good defenders. I realize that you are convinced otherwise, but their defensive metrics are pretty good. There aren't many PGs whose game really makes them take advantage of a height advantage.

Pau Gasol, Trevor Ariza and Luol Deng aren't interested in the Miami Heat's "small money."

If lebatard is right, and the salary cap swells by like 30M in 2 years, the Big3 taking the max now would still be the equivalent of taking a cut. We could sign them to just under the luxury this year, go over it next and then be back under it in 2016. Thoughts?

Even if we went to the finals with Melo and Gasol it wouldn't guarantee us the chip if we ran into a bad matchup. Some great players don't even get the chance to sniff the finals as often as he has.

You don't know what else the guy want? How about reassurance? Can we assure him that we can get a good interior defender/rebounder FA who can take some of the heavy-lifting from him and free him up to play better on the offensive end and making plays? Doubtful. Can we assure him that he wouldn't have to be our best versatile defender and doing so much more than he has to just for the sake of "Small-ball"? Doubtful. We're still the same team we were last year.

We'll be the worst rebounding team again, which means, we'll give up more possessions/second chance points to opposing teams, and then LeBron will have to play like Superman with a bunch of headless chickens supporting cast once again. I really hope he doesn't go back to Cleveland, but at least in Cleveland, he'd know that Varejao would help him carry some of the heavy-lifting when it comes to rebounding the ball, and other young talents who can free him up to play at an even higher level on the offensive end. I really hope that Riley's next move is to get a good reliable rebounder because god knows this team is terrible at securing possessions and it bit them right in their asses last year.

I know some guys on here act like rebounding isn't important, but it was one of the main reasons why we struggled against the Spurs. Not only did they shot lights out, but they were able to secured a lot of second chance points as well and we can't afford to play like this and win games.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Why will it be a huge mistake? If we get the big 3 back, there's literally no realistic scenario where we have capspace for the duration they're here (just the exceptions) unless the salary cap soars up (which it's supposed to do in 3 years, at which point there will likely be opt out options on our players contracts and their current contracts will be considered better value relative to the inflation).

Don't worry the trolls will vanish once Lebron signs. Regardless of where.

I personally will root for the team regardless of who winds up here in Miami like I have since 1988. Whether it's Tang Hamilton (blast from past bet nobody remembers that name) or Lebron James, I will cheer for this team through thick and thin.
