Doesn't matter but 100% you did the same as you're doing now with Melo. I was reading the tea leaves of the media reports and said it looks like Lin may really be gone. You said I'll bet you tomorrow there's another story that comes out saying that things are swinging back in the Knicks' direction, etc.

I acknowledged that the media does see-saw reporting on things to keep people glued, but that I was looking more closely at the details of how the story was unfolding and didn't like what I saw. You dismissed that possibility, or at least thought that there was no real information coming out of the media about it. Then the Knicks really didn't match Lin.

No, trade exception is no different than free agent exception. They eat cap space until they are renounced. There are no free lunches in the CBA.

I again agree with you that nothing is certain until deals are finalized, but again, it would be highly unusual for a team to retract an offer like that.

there are "understandings" in business all the time...parties do favors for each other all the time...
why are we going back and forth on this? because I mentioned melo possibility going to miami and you felt like you had to "note" that at this point because of reported deals it couldn't happen...you are wrong because you have NO IDEA what deals are actually REAL AND FINALIZED :nod:

I'm glad for this thread and NBA free agency. I have a broken collarbone so all I do the entire day is sleep, eat, rehab, nap and post here.
