Ideally we trade Sanders, don't sign Bledsoe, and land another top 3 pick.

Or do you think they have a lot more fun winning 40 games, playing with a good PG and maybe getting some play off experience?

In the last 23 years we've missed the playoffs 15 times.

Of the 8 times we made the playoffs we lost in the 1st round 7 times.

for the guys who don't want Bledsoe......

should we pass on any great young player within a year of their first big contract too? should we not try and improve the roster by trade using this parameter? was it a good thing we didn't get Bledsoe in trade from LAC last year?

anybody who was upset we didn't give up assets in a trade for Bledsoe last year, and now don't want him for free in FA this year.... you make no sense. Bledsoe was always going to get paid. I thought the point was that we would be the ones to pay him.

Doesn't matter. The Suns would have til July 13th to match anyways. Might as well let the dominoes fall a bit longer with the LeBron/Bosh/Melo stuff and then go over all of your options afterwards.

Since the rebuild began which started with trading Jennings and letting Ellis walk we've been in the lottery once.

We have 1 top 5 pick on the roster excluding Fatty.

It would be stupid to assume we have enough talent to contend and go balls out and try to win when we're coming off the worst record in the league and will be relying on two 19 year olds to carry us.

14 million 4 years from now is going to look like nothing for a player like Bledsoe.

Cap experts, what's the most we could offer Bledsoe right now without having made any moves?

Lots of straw man here.

Its not about how many high picks you have, its about how much talent you have and what you expect from it. Saying we don't have enough top 5 picks on the roster is meaningless since it doesn't address what we do have on the roster.

Noone is assuming we have enough talent, thats why we'd be targeting Bledsoe.

The cap is projected to be at $63.2 million and if they renounce Udoh, Sessions, and Adrien then they could offer Bledsoe just about $12 million in first year salary. That number could increase to just over $13 million if they were to waive Wright.

Back of the envelope about $52 million over four.

We will need that full $64 million IMO to make this happen unless we start at $52 and work a S&T

Are people here expecting that if we sign Bledsoe to a max offer sheet that PHX will just let him walk, or are we expected to have to work out a S&T? In either case we're going to have to dump an asset (most likely two) just to be able to offer Bledsoe the max. If we have to work out a S&T then we're going to have to dump even more assets. If it is a S&T, how many players are we going to be losing just for the ability to max Bledsoe? So Miro or Middleton maybe both just to free up space then Henson and Knight in the S&T? Possibly a 1st rd pick too?

Considering if there was a redraft for last year Giannis very possibly goes #1. If not he definatly doesn't fall out of the top 5. So I'd say if your looking at it like that we have 2 top 5 pick type talents. Also I'm pretty sure the Spurs don't have an assortment of talent picked in the top5 of the draft outside of Duncan. Geeze it seems to me that you think if the guy isn't acquired for top 5 pick then he has no chance at being great... It's about talent.... I don't really care where we get it from

I a perfect world I think ideally the S&T would be Knight/Ersan for Bledsoe... Might have to throw a sweetner in on it with Knights contract coming up and the year Ersan's coming off.... Would try keep Henson out of it. I still like his ability to come in off the bench backing up the PF and C as a 6th man type

Knight/Ersan would be a home run.
