Well isn't he the first free agent that we're bringing in for a visit?

Anyway, if I'm the Jazz front office I would be trying to make some type of move. I wouldn't move Favors though, because I like his defensive prowess combined with his physical nature. He embodies what the power forward position is traditionally about. However, I might be looking to move Enes Kanter even though unfortunately I'm uncertain if there's a legit market for his services that would give something decent in return
Likewise with everything else you said though, I don't necessarily understand what Gordon Hayward and his agent's negotiations with Charlotte is about. Personally, I'm not really interested in him unless it's between $7-9 million annually, and even that might turn into a regret in hindsight

To me it appears the Hornets are making a strong play for several reasons. They do want Hayward but know it will be very difficult. But I suspect Opie is the guy Big Al said would help us a lot, and they want to show him they are making every effort to try. This could also be the reason Lance is not in play (yet), as they have to play this out. Still, I just doubt we have a diva on our hands in Big Al, and have to pacify him. So I do think they are serious, but realistic in their ability to land this guy.

But if the plan is to get both, Hayward is the one you secure first since acquiring him is more involved.

Why would the plan be to get both, Lance is a SG and Gordon is a SG

You would think the Jazz would get more in the sign and trade as a team taking him mid season would not be sure he would re-sign at the end of the year. I mean Hayward could say he would resign with the new team and the team could make the deal but they still have no real promise Hayward will resign. Sign and trade they know they have him locked up for 4 years and you would think would offer more to get him. Me just guessing there.
I am very interested in where this goes.
