Pistons hire Orlando Magic Scouting Director as Assistant GM

Post#1 » by Kilo » Mon Jul 7, 2014 9:13 pm

Keith Langlois ‏@Keith_Langlois 9m

The #Pistons have named Brian Wright assistant GM. He spent 8 years with Orlando. Most recently director of college scouting.

I can dig this as Orlando has done pretty damn good IMO with their drafting over the years. And he was poached via vertical offer/promotion rather than let go by Orlando.

Brian's a friend of mine. He played college ball and a couple years overseas. He's an extremely intelligent and hard working person, and he's the consummate professional. We probably won't hear much about him in the immediate future, as is the case with any other assistant GM, but more good things will probably be said of him when he gets offers for GM positions. I really hope he's given the opportunity to succeed in Detroit. Good luck!
