Ya this is insane

I hope Andy Reid knows what he's doing, cutting Flowers.

Cutting a regressing player that wasn't a scheme fit was the smart decision, Reid knows what he's doing with that. Only thing I don't get, is the 0 planning of replacing him whether it was FA or the draft(other than Gaines, who will definitely not be a short term replacement). Sean Smith is nice, but can't be the no.1 on a playoff team.

Flowers was bad towards the end of the year, but I thought he was dealing with injuries also and we lacked depth at the position. I like Gaines potential as a prospect, but we should've added more depth if we were going to make that move, but we'll see.

I think he's a better fit in SD, but he wasn't a good fit in KC and it was not a mistake cutting him.

Marcus Cooper played well at times. Young rookie. They also have Ron Parker who made plays when in.

I know about Cooper, but I don't think the core is deep enough to constitute being okay with rolling them out against the Broncos and Chargers twice a year, not to mention Brady, Russell Wilson, Roethlisberger and Kaepernick (probably relying more on Hali and Houston to affect his play)

Oh don't get me wrong, with this schedule, they aren't winning 7 games

If not Wednesday, then surely sometime this year.
Kris Bryant will go down as the greatest Chicago athlete after MJ

edit 7/30/21: okay maybe not, but it was a fun ride nonetheless

One aspect of this madness, that makes me feel better, is that Saturday we heard multiple reports of the decision incoming with-in 24-48 hours. At this point we know that isn't true, which also applies to most of the "stories" these days. Why would he wait to announce it? I think the more thought he gives, the better shot the Bulls have. Because we, in a lot of ways, are the most logical choice if he cares about winning.

I have no basis to back this up, just a feeling. I still, as I always have, think he's going back to NY. The longer this goes on though, the better I feel. But I'd be shocked if he went to LA, I don't give them much of a shot. I think it's still between the Bulls and NY.

We shall see.

That's exactly what I'm saying, I think cutting Flowers was the right choice, I think the head scratcher is not having a replacement in mind. I think you guys needed a no.1 regardless of cutting Flowers or not, that CB position is logjammed with 2's and 3's

It would be kind of strange if the NBA season started and Carmelo Anthony wasn't an active player on an NBA roster. Possible FIBA signing? Get on it ESPN.

In order for Melo to get his cake and eat it too (and we being the cake of course) he has to make everyone BELIEVE he's going to LA or else NYK / Phil calls his bluff. So of course it's "just between LA and NYK". That's what he's leaking naturally.

...Yet wouldn't he have picked one already if it was between them? Lol

Let the agents do their do their damn jobs and get Melo his $$ before he comes to Chicago. Time IS on our side. ;)

Lol the AND-1 lunacy still going on I see.

If it was just NY and LA the choice would have been made by today. The longer this plays out the more believable the "LA is just leverage for a S&T" argument becomes.

@ESPNSteinLine: Popular question raised by last five teams I've talked to: Is Melo holding out in hopes Bosh goes to Houston so he can join LeBron in Miami?
