Woj reported that, after Houston offered him the max, his reps told Houston that he wants to stay in Miami & play with Lebron.

According to Woj, when Houston offered Bosh to max he said "I want to be in Miami. I want to play with Lebron"

But the quote was taken down cause he said it in tv and it was taken out of context but it reaffirms Bosh wants to be in Miami. The Houston stuff is possibly true because with the Lebron to Cleveland rumors, bosh is making a back up plan and considering Houston's offer

This all starts with Lebron, if he stays, everyone stays basically. If not we stuck with Wade and some other pieces... Nice pieces tho if you with summer league

Thanks mopper and DefenseWins. And yes DefenseWins, I have been watching the summer league games. I actually live within 5 minutes of cal state long beach. I'm surprised I never heard anything about Ennis when he was here during his college days. He's looking pretty promising thus far.

I dunno

Lebron is in no rush and has his camp thing in Vegas and might just concentrate on that first

But every day there is progress regarding the Heat

He's definitely going to be checking in with Riley tomorrow for progress. That much is for certain. I am not sure he announces it tomorrow, but it is a possibility. If not, we will at least learn where he leans at that point. Straight from Riley himself. I just don't know. I always imagined that Carmelo would be announcing his decision first. IDK why.

I think people may have greatly over-estimated Lebron's desire to leave. I think Lebron probably wants to stay but wants the team improved. If he thinks it's improved, he'll stay--doesn't matter what guys like Melo are doing, or what trades the Cavs make. I actually feel really good about this.

I would like to think that it is looking pretty unlikely tomorrow's meeting is a "goodbye" from LeBron to Riley.

Bosh /
McBob / Haslem
LeBron / granger
wade / Allen
Cole / Napier

And then we have to fit in Ennis and at least one center in out of ( Andersen / Oden and hamilton

Last season we added oft-injured Oden and bust-Beasley.

This season we've got McRoberts, who should fit in very well, along with Granger (Meh signing, but no risk). People are sleeping on Napier/Ennis (Perhaps Hamilton too). They aren't going to be All-Stars, but they could very well end up being quality rotation guys for us.

People considered Mills/Danny Green as scrubs years back and Diaw a fat lard not too long ago. Battier was a crucial part of our success his first two seasons here, and his decline really hurt the team overall. A big name guy would have been nice, but role players can make a tremendous difference.

As long as LeBron, Bosh, etc remain, I think we have a significantly improved team, and will have added some much-needed youth.

I think Lebron does want to stay but it depends in the roster

I mean he is getting improvements tho as much as people want to down play it

I just never figured Lebrons agent is the one campaigning a return to Cleveland and apparently has been trying to get him back there since day one which is too crazy to believe but I don't even know. A report said how his agent is the one giving hope to the Cavs
I need to hear something concrete like Lebron himself liking the situation or something

But he is going to have to go to a new coach, new team in terms of players, and a YOUNG team. They are great players with a lot of potential but they have never even been in the playoffs. If Lebron wants to win right now, the Heat is the top choice(people then say nobody is in the roster but ppl will come quickly once they hear Lebron is signed here). Lebron himself is an automatic trip to the ECF, but that team is not beating a West team any time soon

Operating as a team over the cap, the Heat would have one more exception in its pocket to help build the roster. The team can still use the trade exception worth $2.2 million that it acquired in trading Joel Anthony to the Celtics during the 2013-14 season.

Maybe we could combine Cole and that exception for a player in the $4-5M range?

didn't think you could combine a player with an exception

Well it is a "trade exception"

I think it may allow us to bring back $2.2M in salary in a trade.

For example, we trade Cole ($2.1M) and can bring back $4.3M in return.

We can only hope LeBron feels so glowingly about Riley as we do.....

I would really hate if there were any truth to the rumblings that LeBron was turned off by Riley's end-of-season "get a grip" speech.

Return to Miami Heat
