I'm surprised there's talks of Livingston getting 6M a year. His stats weren't anything special, he can't shoot 3s and he's not a true PG. Love the guy but surprised there's a market for him like that. But if Meeks is making 6+ a year, then Livingston deserves it.

I wonder how the Clipper market is going to work. They're dealing with the Sterling situation still. Seems like a messy ownership situation. Pierce will also have a much smaller role. Not sure if he's a full-time SF anymore either. If he leaves, he leaves. In BK, he can play with KG and play a big role and do Pierce things. In LA, he turns into a spot up shooter playing exclusively SF and has to switch teams again.

If KG wants to retire because of Pierce leaving, then we just saved a ton of money. And we have Lopez/Plumlee. I love KG but his 20 mpg and 60 games played are replaceable by Lopez unless Brook's career is over.

There's just no room for Blatche with Teletovic, AK47, Lopez, Plumlee, KG all available at 4/5. We clearly need a more defensive oriented big with those guys - especially if KG leaves. Maybe someone that isn't out of shape during playoff time.

Boozer would be a good option if he is waived. Especially if PP is heading to the Clips.

Bulls weigh Carlos Boozer amnesty

The Chicago Bulls have told Carlos Boozer it is possible he will be waived using the amnesty provision, but the team has made no final decisions, sources told ESPN.com.

The Bulls met with free agent Carmelo Anthony on Tuesday and have a visit planned with free agent Pau Gasol on Thursday. To clear salary-cap space for either, the Bulls will have to release Boozer or use him in a sign-and-trade deal.

Boozer is in the final year of a contract that will pay him $16.8 million this season. The Bulls have until July 18 to use the amnesty clause on Boozer, which would remove his salary from their books.

In that case, teams with cap space would be able to bid on Boozer in a waiver process. He would be awarded to the highest bidder to pay a portion of his salary. He would become a free agent only if there were no bids.

Currently, if the Bulls were to waive Boozer, they would have about $9.7 million in cap space.

If he is used in a sign-and-trade, the Bulls would be able to take back more than $20 million in salary. This is why the Bulls are leaving their options open with the veteran forward, sources said.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Boozer already had been informed the Bulls would use the amnesty provision on him.

Boozer averaged 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds per game last season when he rarely played in fourth quarters.

Thabo's never even been linked to us. I don't think this team is looking at a wing guy. I think our focus is on that combo PG/SG spot.

I was a big proponent of landing Thabo, sucks we lost out but that is a bit above the mmle, what we can offer. I'm sure we would've preferred two years too, but at the end over 3 he would've lost about $2 million signing with us over the Hawks

-Darren Collison to Sacramento at 16 mil over 3 years? This is his fifth team in 6 years. That says a lot.

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Ben Gordon to Orlando at 9 mil over two years? The guy that was waived by the bobcats because he was a waste of space and detrimental to the team?

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Thabo Sefolosha to the Hawks at 12 mil over three years? The guy that became a DNP-CD in the playoffs because he couldn't make wide open shots?

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Kyle Lowry to Toronto at 48 mil over 4 years? Their best player and a deserving all star last season in his prime?

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Marcin Gortat To Washington at 60 mil over 5 years? Solid center who is already 30?

Image (Barkley voice) That's crazy, ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Shaun Livingston to Golden State at 16 mil over three seasons? Breakout year, great character guy and will make a kevin love trade easier to swallow?

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Jodie Meeks at 19 mil over 3 years? No comment

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible. Let me tell you something Ernie, there are some stupid GM's in this league.

Billy King on the Michael Kay show just now he didn't say anything great. Said we spoke to Pierce today we're negotiating. We're looking at other options too. I think once Melo and Lebron sign the pieces will fall quickly.

Edit: said they're not talking sign and trade with the Clippers

King's interviews are always worthless.

Farmar reportedly signs for the bi-annual exeption with the Clippers. Clippers also have rumored deal with Hawes. With the Cavs wanting to cut salary and chase Lebron, they likely would not want to do a S&T with Deng. This should further limit what the Clippers can offer Paul Pierce.

I was about to tell you that Kaman is going to Portland, then I realized you meant Hawes.

Boris Diaw, Spurs: 22 mil over 3 years - Huge reason why the Spurs won it all this year. His unique skillset would have been very valuable to any of the contending teams and he's barely getting paid more than Jodie meeks.

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie. He's found a home in San Antonio. (Ernie voice) I'm sure he loves walking besides the river. (barkley voice) That's not a river, that's a creek.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Channing Frye, Magic: 32 mil over 4 years - Nice shooting big man that can spread the floor. Good character guy. Nice role player. But he's going to a team that is rebuilding and I don't think he should be getting paid more than Boris Diaw who has a more all around game.

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible, Ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Avery Bradley, Celtics: 32 mil over 4 years - When healthy he's a solid two way player though he'll never be a second or even third option. He could spot up nicely and defense remains his best skill.

Image (barkely voice) I don't know about this one, ernie. Because... let me tell you something. He's a nice player, but that's a lot of money.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dirk, Mavs: 30 mil over 3 years - That's just a steal.

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jordan Farmar, Clippers: 4.2 mil over two years - FARMSTAR! I dislike him heavily, but this is good value, if he can stay healthy that is.

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Danny Granger, Pacers: 4.2 mil over two years - He's washed up. I don't even think he'll contribute anything positive for the heat with or without Lebron.

Image - (barkley voice) That's turrible, Ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Patrick Patterson, Raptors: 18 million 3 years - He was legitimately the second player that scared me the most during the Raptors series. He's becoming a really dependable player. I like this deal for him.

Image (barkely voice) That's fantastic. ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Josh McRoberts, Heat: 23 mil over 4 years - Mehh. Solid big man passer that can shoot it from the outside. He'll never be a scorer, but is a quality player... just not for this much money for a team that REALLY needs a guy that can rebound and block shots. Things he doesn't do well.

Image (Barkley voice) I don't know about this one, Ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spencer hawes, Clippers: 23 mil over 4 years - Double Mehh. The clippers needed more size so Hawes gives them that. But again... this team needs defense. Hawes won't provide that.

Image (Barkley voice) I don't know about this one, Ernie.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Kaman, Portland: 10 mil over two years - Triple Mehh. Portland needed reserves and kaman is still a nice offensive center. But... he makes them worse defensively which I thought that was unpossible. Image

Image (Barkley voice) That's crazy, ernie.
