Re: 2014 Official FA Thread 4: Is The Dream Over?
Things we need to keep in mind (who knows what it means, but we can make inferences)
1. Bledsoe has not signed an offer sheet or seems in a rush to negotiate with other teams (Does this mean his agent/bledsoe/suns are on the same page about going after LBJ? Seems like it)
2. Suns have not made any moves that would take them out of the LBJ chase (If we knew we were out of it do you think McD is stupid enough to wait it out and not make any moves? Doesn't seem like McD's style)
3. Cavs cannot offer LBJ the max...yet (All we've heard is that LBJ and the players association want the best player in the league to get PAID. Right now only Phx & Miami are capable of doing that)
4. Without the home town bias (which can be the deciding factor I know) Suns are the best option on paper. And we can improve with our cap space without gutting the team. (you can talk about Cleveland's potential all you want, but it's just that potential. Kyrie hasn't been able to do anything on his own in the weak east. We won 48 games in the West).
5. Our training staff (you know McD/Sarver are selling the **** out of that selling point. Want to be better than MJ? Well if you play longer than him at a higher level there's a higher probability of you breaking his records)
6. Our owner doesn't have the best reputation. But we also haven't blasted our franchises GOAT and kept that letter on our website for four years. (Sarver has come a long way since his rookie seasons. He's publicly admitted his wrongs and wished he handled things different. He also has gone against our states political views with the whole Los Suns thing during SB1070. That might have a small affect for us considering how adamant LBJ was with the Sterling situation)
I'm sure there are a few more, but thought I would just point those out.

Or they know people will bet a lot of money on those odds. Vegas want's money not story lines...

One thought...wouldn't the media, namely the TV networks, much prefer Bron to play in the West? Ever other night would be Lebron VS (other star player) instead of Lebron VS Bucks/Pistons/Boston/Orlando/76ers/Bobcats...the list goes on. Looking at our schedule vs Miami's schedule last year is pretty eye opening.
...also the reason Lebron wouldn't want to come west, unless he thought those match-ups would be good for his "brand"

No, they are probably just covering their asses so LeBron's buddies or whoever else (who may know what he's gonna do), if they know anything can't bet and get 40-1 odds and make a killing. They'd probably rather no one bet on Cleveland so they are altering odds to hedge their bets.

Would anyone trade Bledsoe for Love w/ a 3rd team involved . If Bled agrees to a max with Milw... Send Warren and Henson, milws 2015 1st, plus ours and the fLakers to Minny... Love to us... I kind of see something similar with (grrr) Dragic if James jumps on board

The last time LeBron made his big free agency announcement he did it on July 8th.

Amare is broken. We knew that years ago, hence why we didnt want to keep him. He himself doesnt realize it yet and still fancy's himself a star player and would soon be disgruntled if he came here and didnt get the start over Keiff and had his minutes limited due to us wanting to give our young talent time to shine and develop. Thats when Amare turns into a lockeroom cancer and really isnt worth whatever asset NY would give us to take him off their hands.
What? Ive never heard that Amare complained about coming off the bench in NY.
Amare is my favorite player, so maybe im biased, but i thought this part of yer post was inaccurate. He is a committed professional. He's also still an efficient scorer and successful cookbook author.
He's also one of the most talented Suns players ever and, even if he was injured during our amazing 2006 season, I will defend his reputation until I die. He's a man. He might not be THE man, but he's a man and i hope he retires here and reopens his underwhelming downtown restaurant.

So you're saying if we DON'T get LeBron, would I trade Bledsoe for Love? Yes, if Love was staying long term. Goran needs a guy like Love and the team needs a rebounder like Love.

Re: 2014 Official FA Thread 4: Is The Dream Over?
I'd be fine with Amare, he's an efficient offensive player and can run the PNR better than anyone else out there today.
But McD would never pull the trigger on that, not his style. Going big or going home.
Also, I'm sticking with that quote that Ray Ray posted a while ago about having trades lined up that would make the Suns "scary"... and Stoudemire doesn't fit that description.

Not Traxxe- You make those statements as if you know it to be a certainty. And if that's the case then you must know the real direction of the franchise.

Half you guys here are going mental with overanalyzing and speculating EVERYTHING.
Reports are that at the LeBrons last meal included a burrito. What does it mean? I eat burritos and I live in Arizona, it must be a sign. But then he drank a glass of milk. Milk comes from cows and cows are raised in the Midwest and Cleveland is in the Midwest! Oh no it can't be true. My basketball world ended.

I think this makes sense as maybe the Twolves like the Bucks assets more than the Suns. Of course, the Twolves would get their own pick back and the Lakers pick. Still might need to move some salary - Morris twins? as I just think the Suns would have to take back Martins contract.

Agreed. He says things at random without any ties to the Suns. Guess what? Media relations does not know the current inner workings of the front office's free agent conversations.

I know I'm probably unreasonably optimistic about Warren, but we control him for the next 9 years. With Love, even if he agrees to stay, we control for 4 years. I'm hesitant. I want to build organically. Dragic/Archie/Ennis/Green/Love/Morrises/Plumlee/Len is nowhere near close enough to get us to a championship, and we'll be further from contention at the end of those 4 years than we are today. Stay the course.

I know someone that loves breakfast burritos with milk.
Sounds gross.
But yeah if he had milk at dinner then he's going to Cleveland. LeBron to Cleveland confirmed.

Breakfast burritos might be okay.
I'm just imagining some beefy, greasy, spicy as ****, full of beans and cheese monster. And the thought of washing it down with milk...
That's just nasty...
