Ray Felton would seriously have a hard time being an elite backup -- I think that's already impossible -- let alone an elite point guard / starter in general.

Remember the Knicks can kick in 3M so that reduces Bargs to 8M.

And I think this maybe explains best why Melo has not committed. Maybe he'll take a steep paycut if we can do this. Steep meaning down to 18 maybe? 17 seems a reach but who knows.

That's the other thing, Phil can have the deal lined up with the Sixers and a second deal lined up with the sixers or another team to dump Bargs for a much cheaper price to the Knicks and call up Riley and basically say.. "LeBron is mine the easy way or the hard way." I can clear the space right now or we can work out a sign and trade for Amare and throw you a pick and THJ (possible fan favorite). Riley can play ball or not, but it might be worth it for him to.

Basically, LeBron controls the leverage. If he wants Knicks, Phil can make it happen. I am certain of this.

***And, I DON'T want LeBron here, lol. That's whats funny, I've been one of the only people all along who doesn't want LeBron here, yet I am one of the only people saying all along how possible it is if LeBron wants it.
