Because Hayward isn't as good as KD, Westbrook, or LBJ and its absolutely laughable to include him in the conversation. He isn't in the same ballpark at all.

How is it laughable to compare them? These players put up these numbers, these are FACTS. These are not comparisons, so you have reasons behind MCW's numbers, what about Hayward's? It was known that Hayward was going to have a breakout year and he does. If he consistently puts up these numbers you can't call him average.

As for the Tyreke list, if Tyreke were to continue on his ROY level for his career this would not be an issue. But he did achieve similar numbers to LeBron, MJ, and Oscar Robertson. You can't take that away from him.

I would trade Zeller and MKG for him in a heartbeat. I might would even throw in Biyombo too. That would give Vonleh more playing time. And Hayward would be an improvement over MKG. At least teams on the defensive end would have to try to guard the 3 for once.

So let me get this straight. The Jazz have a ton of cap space and can easily give GoHay the max. So GoHay has to threaten Utah to opt out if Utah matches any offer Charlotte gives him, so that Utah listens to S&T offers.

So Utah would want some of our young guys (and picks) since those are the only ones on the roster worth anything.
Kemba: Practically untouchable and they have Burke and Exum.
Henderson: No idea why Utah would want him but Charlotte would be glad to move him, presumably.
MKG: Utah could use him, but CHA torpedoes their defense if they lose him.
Zeller: Utah has developing bigs out the ass, Favors, Kanter, and Gobert. Not many PFs though, I guess he's a candidate.
Biyombo: Utah has Favors, Kanter, and Gobert. They shouldn't want him plus we need our backup C.
Vonleh: Rookies very rarely get traded so soon.
Hairston: Not Mormon material.
Taylor: Would be filler but I can see him going.
Neal: Expiring filler, helps them meet salary floor.

So, uh, yeah. Hayward for Hendo, Zeller + filler and future 1st rounder or something. Not exactly a haul for Utah and really kind of lame for CHA to be ponying up so much for a guy that shares a name with The Humble One.

I just don't see why we're good trade partners.

Just sign Lance and ship Henderson for whatever you can if Hendo doesn't want to come off the bench. There is so much potential growth left for Kemba, Lance, MKG, Zeller, Vonleh, and Biz, and maybe even Hairston. Why give up assets like that for a guy like Hayward? Can you imagine if just three of that six took their game to the next level? I mean what if Zeller, MKG, and Vonleh turn out to be all-stars? Of the six only Kemba is closest to being what he can in his prime, but even Kemba has a chance to Tony Parker-fy his game and be a great starter on a contender.
