He is not a starter in this league. I think he would be a nice backup though.

Got Jefferson last season, trying to get Williams and Hayward this season.

Now we just need to get Millsap from the Hawks somehow.

Obligatory connection to ousting MKG from the anti-gilCHRIST

Marvin Williams will help fortify the SF position backing up Hayward when MKG goes as the centerpiece in a sign-and-trade with the Jazz for Hayward.

Why not? Zeller was plugged into sign-and-trades for Hayward based on Humphries rumors.

i'd rather have tolliver. marvin is one of the most disappointing players i can ever remember. he never improved from his freshman year.

fun fact - me and a friend wrote the marvin williams player profile on draftexpress, back when they were draftcity. it might have been the first thing i wrote for them.

Jazz is just 2 letter off from buzz.

This quest to be like them is more creepy than Desperately Seeking Susan.

The very definition of a mediocrity and underachiever.

Williams would be a decent fit in Tolliver's role as a backup 3/4. He's a solid player, but not one I'd overpay for by any means. Unless he's coming cheap it's not worth it.

I was pretty surprised that Woj is hyping Williams as our potential starting PF. Clifford has said over and over he doesn't like playing small and I don't see Williams as a starting level PF by any means. Surely we aren't interested in him as a starter.

A better Tolliver, his role will be PF/SF used for shooting, probably play SF for MKG in the 4th even :noway:

Hes also visited the Heat, though. Will be amusing when we have "Welcome to Charlotte Marvin Williams!" throughout the arena

Clifford's "size matters" mantra (what a whore) has me thinking he sees Marvin Williams more as a big SF than as a small PF. Again MKG could be going for Hayward so Williams is needed. You can't let Taylor back up SF behind Hayward with Taylor's achilles.
