I agree. He wouldn't have been given a contract from a team other than the Kings. I'm Indian too so no racist...kind of.

Generally speaking, The average height increases with every generation. So the chance we get another 5'5 baller decreases with every generation. The 5'5 baller of the 80s is probably 5'7 this generation.

They're 5'9" and 5'10" in shoes. Subtract 1 inch without shoes.

If you believe the measurements, which I don't.

Guys like Muggsy bogues and spud webb could come in and take over games due to their size. The league is a lot smaller now so I'm not sure they would be as effective as they where back then. They both where very distruptive players that you could throw out on the floor when the other team went big, you just couln't dribble around them because they would steal the ball.

I'm just not sure that they would be as effective if they played now.

Why not? If anything the game should be easier for them now.

Less bigs, more small forwards and guards. So basicly every one on the floor now is capable of defending a penatrating guard. Now players are a lot faster on average, so not so much advantage to be gained.

Basicly every team now has a few 6ft players who could contain those guys.

You don't believe the official pre-draft measurements?

I'm gonna start calling MCW 6'8". That's what I think he is by looking at my TV screen. He was measured at 6'6" in shoes but I don't believe it.

I read Earl Boykins can bench like 350 or something, that's why no one can post those little dudes up.

lol at the idea of a 6'5" guy being able to stay with a 5'5" guy. Not happening. Those mini-minis weren't successful by running always from Shaq, they were successful because even perimeter types couldn't contain them. They can't even contain guys like Nate Robinson and Isaiah Thomas who are 3-5 inches taller than the mini minis.

And the huge key is that you are no longer allowed to touch perimeter guys. No more handchecking, which was the primary advantage bigger guards had again the little darts.

He's probably the closest player to the OPs criteria that has the highest chance of making the league. I've seen him play a few times, and he's incredibly athletic (can dunk w/ ease, incredible quickness, and has the ball on a string).

He got cut from the D-League though. He was scoring at a high rate, but had a very high TO rate for the limited minutes he played. He declared for this yr's NBA draft, but went undrafted. Reportedly he's considering going back to the D-League next yr or overseas.

Nevertheless, I still think he's talented enough to play in the NBA and deserves a shot.

Doubt that. To answer the op's question, yes. I don't see why not.
