I wonder how big is major, and I wonder if the Jazz will match.

Must be big if they plan on it working, seeing as we all know the Jazz said they'd match.

Please don't be too ridiculous. If it is, match it Jazz, please match it.

as I understand it (please correct if wrong) option years can only be the final year of a contract.

I just don't get he appeal over Lance. Now if Utah matches, what are we gonna do, go out and offer Lance a smaller contract and say "sorry you're our plan B?"

What if Utah matches? What is the end game here.

Also Hayward can't sign til Thursday correct?

Yeah, congrats that our beat writer finally did a half decent job and broke something for the first time in what seems like ages.

We probably try to engage them in sign and trade talks if they choose to match I would assume. Not sure, though.

no no no something tells me this is going to be something we are going to regret for years. I am going to be extremely pissed if we offer him a $12M+ contract. Can't wait until Utah matches and we move on.

For the sake of being an optimist, I'm going to guess that most teams have come to their senses, and that our 3 year, $33M contract is the biggest one he received from a team that isn't completely worthless.

No way its higher than Al Jefferson's contract. 3 years 39 million is my guess.

Cho has pro scouts, he must have scouted Hayward big time to go after him like this.

Would be nice if we knew what the offer actually was. Good of Bonnell to break it, but kind of weird not to have the numbers. Its progress I guess.
