Bonnell is sucking up to Woj.

Maybe Woj fed him the local story. It would explain why he had all the numbers and Bonnell didn't lol.

Wojo said on twitter that Bonnell was the one to first report it, and Bonnell creamed all over himself at the thought of Woj mentioning him on twitter.

I just can't see a way Utah matches this. There is no way Utah is paying Hayward that money.

Well the last season he was with Jefferson he shot 41% from 3. Good facilitator as well and will help Walker immensely. He is a REALLY good fit here. Is he overpaid? Yeah, but so was Jefferson supposedly last season as well.

We're better short-term, yes. He's a great fit too. I'm not really complaining much basketball-wise (though Lance Stephenson is twice the basketball player), but how the hell are we going to improve the team once Al, MKG, and Kemba get their new contracts with a damn role player soaking up $16M a year? The dude better turn into a 20/5/5 guy with great defense if he's going to be making $2M more per year than Paul George.

I think hes going to be fantastic now that he is reunited back with Jefferson. I still think Utah is going to match.

If the Jazz dont match, and the Hornets get him, what position will he play SG or SF?

Bench MKG or Henderson?

or Hayward come off the bench? (doubt it)

I think we all agree, Henderson needs to go to the bench.

Thanks for getting him under contract for us. Jazz match. I have seen the Jazz numbers and their is no reason the Jazz will not match, even if over paid. The Jazz have large amounts of cap space the next 4 years. I am upset he is getting this much but what you going to do. Sometimes it just works out that way. The NBA can give out some crazy money for so so talent and no talent sometimes.

Bench Henderson for sure. We have bigger problems if Utah doesn't match though.

Would be very upsetting if Henderson wasn't benched.

If Utah matches, great. While I think there is a slight chance he could play up to his contract here, I am not banking on locking in our team for the next 3 years on a slight chance.

Kudos to Jordan and Cho for actually trying to improve the roster drastically. This signing, even if Utah matches, probably made Henderson take notice quite a bit

Hayward will officially sign it tomorrow (the 10th), and then Utah has 3 days to match.

This can also be problematic as Im not sure we can pursue any big time free agents while he has an offer sheet tied to him as it counts against our cap until Utah matches I believe. Big time gamble, but one that may be very well worth it in the end.

So basically if he gets trade hes going to get a couple extra million. Would have preferred the team option as opposed to a player option, but of course he wouldn't do that
