I can count on one hand how many Heat fans have joined this forum before The Decision, but you're gonna bring up my sign date?

did i quote you? did i say anything about you? you're insecure huh? exposed.

Considering I'm the only one here with a Spurs logo, I used my deductive reasoning to realize you were talking about me!

we're still in the driver's seat but damn Mickey being stingy in a time where he had it all & was milking money from these guys pisses me off. Players know the owners raped them in the CBA, they don't like their owners being stingy, especially not a guy like Lebron who can never make what he truly deserves in this league. Simple.

Well, Lebron James likes him, and wants him on his team. so it certainly does matter.

Indiana Pacers screwed themselves with analytics by replacing Tyler and Granger with Scola and Turner, and now we screwed ourselves with analytics.

how did we screw ourselves with analytics? are you reffering to miller? that was a pure financial decision.

And it was the wrong decision for many reasons.

First of all, you have already asked Lebron, Bosh, Wade, Haslem, Battier, Ray, and Miller to TAKE LESS. They were all DISCOUNTED, some of those players took a 50% discount. For their financial sacrifice you have to reward the players, you've already told them to take less. Instead you use the amnesty provision on a key championship roleplayer that the players embraced and loved.

We had no one that could hit an open shot against the Spurs.

And now if Lebron goes to Cleveland we're going to be paying Mike Miller to assist Lebron in Cleveland, this whole thing is biting us in the ass.

Because we lost the NBA FINALS.

Amazing huh?

Lebron wants it to be easy. He claims to be a competitor, but he wants an ez pass to the title every year.

na he just doesnt want to carry your beloved wade's carcass anymore then get all the hate and blame and jokes when he loses to a team that was much much much better

You are a few days away from officially becoming a troll on this board.

If that's true, going to Cleveland doesn't make sense since the path to a chip is much harder.

Melo can come here for less money if he wants to be with his buddy LeBron

It seems all the "good news" and "bad news" comes in bunches, ever revolving. The media is having fun with this, while you guys are pulling your hair out.

It seems like all it would take to get Melo is screwing Bosh over (renouncing his rights).

The news in the morning has been pro Cavs

Later it's been pro Heat

Mickey is one of the few owners who pays and has paid the lux tax for years.

How is he stingy?

I'm not saying it because they were complaining. They have a right to be worried about the future of their team, just as we do. I'm saying it because they, as a city, seem like hypocrites the way they've been talking and acting these past few weeks in lieu of the four years since The Decision. They can't make up their minds. Do they hate him or love him?

I can't speak for anyone else, but if he left, I have no personal problem with him. I'll root for anyone-- the Bulls, the Spurs, the Thunder, the **** Knicks if it came to it-- to kill the Cavs' title hopes every year just because I don't respect their fans or Dan Gilbert. But LeBron I'd still wish well. I wouldn't jump on the bandwagon of calling him a bitch or celebrating every time he personally falters. I wouldn't want to see Mickey Arison trash him publicly in a letter and then put Delonte West on the Miami Heat website homepage. I wouldn't burn anything with his name on it. I wouldn't make it a point to go to the first Heat vs. Cavs game to spend all night booing him every time he touches the ball.

And I'd want the Heat to just move on. If he were to announce for certain that he chose Cleveland, my main concern would shift to hoping the Heat would build a team that could punk his team in the playoffs ASAP. I wouldn't want some guy who turned his back on my team coming back, even if he was LeBron James. **** that. I root for the name on the front of the jersey, not on the back, so no one player is worth sacrificing the dignity of the franchise for.

But on the flip side, here's a metaphor for Cleveland's behavior: In public, they've spent the past four years telling all their friends how much better they are without him, what a piece of **** he is, etc. etc. But behind closed doors, they've still kept on backing cookies for the man who beat them in public four years prior, doing backflips for him in the hopes that one of these days he'll tell them that he loves them.

That's why I say they'd be a city of bitches. They've got no conviction. If LeBron chooses to stay in Miami, you don't think they'd go right back to trashing his name and hypocritically turning around and saying they never really wanted him to begin with? They're a city so desperate for a championship that they'd all probably give away their first born child for one if they could.

There's nothing even remotely confirmed, and some of you are already getting snarky about LeBron? Relax guys. This is all media driven. Everyone is hedging their bets. We're not going to know for sure until it happens. The Cavs have made cap room. That was expected. They're not really on the position to sit and wait. They have to show and tell. Let's see if there's anything to worry about after Riley and Bron meet. More reliable info will come out then.

meh. if he's willing to throw wade and bosh under the bus for miller then he needs to go.

miller is not the difference between 4-1 loss to the spurs and a championship.

if he was still on the team we'd be talking about amnestying miller to appease lebron.
