Why in the world would it be a sign and trade? When we did it in 2010 it was because the CBA back then allowed him to get that extra year. This new CBA would allow for the max in a sign and trade to be the same if the cavs signed him outright. Only reason for a sign and trade would be if he were going to a team without any cap room.

So in reality, I'm pretty sure it would NOT be a sign and trade.

Pretty sure that's not correct. Max contract Cleveland can offer right now is 4 years 94 Mil (if im not mistaken) which would be the same amount that could be done in a sign and trade.
